5 Scope proposal Imaging Equipment products Products that are marketed for office or domestic use, or both, and whose function is one or both of the following: a) to produce a printed image in the form of paper document or photo through a marking process either from a digital image, provided by a network/card interface or from a hardcopy through a scanning/copying process; b) to produce a digital image from a hard copy through a scanning/copying process. 5

6 Definition Imaging Equipment consumables A replaceable product that is essential to the functioning of the imaging equipment product. Consumables are replaced or replenished by either the end user or service provider during the normal usage and life span of the imaging equipment product. Examples of consumables include, but are not limited to: toner, toner containers, toner bottles, toner cartridges, waste toner cartridges, ink cartridges, ink heads, ink sticks, ribbon ink, thermal paper, office paper, imaging units, transfer belts, transfer roller, fusers and drum maintenance units. Items that are not intentionally designed to be normally replaceable are considered to be spare parts. 6

7 Definition Print services Print services are services provided by imaging equipment product manufacturers, suppliers and print service providers and can include one-off works contracts, call-down contracts from a framework as well as cyclical, long-term printing services. Print services can cover one or more of items from the list below: 1) printing, copying, scanning, 2) supply of imaging equipment products, 3) supply of imaging equipment consumables, 4) repair of imaging equipment products and/or replacement of parts, which are provided by a supplier 7

8 Definitions Print services Managed Print Services (MSP) Integrated Managed Print Service Cloud base printing A print service managed by the supplier to optimize or manage an organisation s document output. A print service which integrates printing, copying and scanning with other IT services such as storage, hybrid mail (mail that is delivered using a combination of electronic and physical delivery) and workflow solutions. A print service which enables imaging equipment to be accessed over a network through cloud computing. 8

13 Next steps Preliminary and Technical reports to be published by September 2018 AHWG meeting is planned to take place in October 2018 in Seville During the AHWG meeting first criteria proposal will be discussed Based on the feedback received during and after the AHWG meeting EU GPP criteria proposal will be reworked and send out for second stakeholders' consultation round 13
