4 PSM CONTEXT Process Safety Management (PSM) refers to a set of interrelated approaches to managing hazards associated with the process industries and is intended to reduce the frequency and severity of incidents resulting from releases of chemicals and other energy sources (US OSHA 1993). Improve visibility, increase decision making speed, increase collaboration & interactions between silos. The boundary between IT and OT is becoming blurred. Digital Twin, Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, VR... 16 CONCLUSIONS New advanced simulations tools (analytics) provide more accurate results when assessing process leaks. There is a still a lot of work to be done re seamless data transfer and integration Digital transformation will be as much about people, communication & collaboration as technology adoption Opportunity to leverage technology for process optimization, improved efficiency, reduced downtime, increased production as well as better decision making including when it comes to process safety Field Data Connectivity (SCADA) and Cybersecurity Analytics Decision (Service)
