3 Kognifai is our digital platform and open ecosystem that enables us to analyze across systems Kognifai is an all-encompassing and open digital ecosystem where users can collect, store, analyze, and apply the data they generate using various proprietary and third-party systems. It is also an expert platform for the development of new data-centric applications, a single portal to access vital solutions developed by KONGSBERG and, uniquely, certified third-party developers. We host a suite of applications for operation and management of onshore and offshore wind farms on Kognifai. These applications integrate data and functions from separate systems into one unified system, with no need for manual data transfer. We provide all applications as software as a service (SaaS) hosted on Kognifai, or, if you prefer, deploy them on dedicated computer hardware at your site. In other words, you do not need to install any client software. You can access everything through a web-based client in your browser. Applications provided Situation Map Operators use Situation Map to quickly get an overview of the current situation. It provides a live overview of the most important information on a physical installation and its surroundings. This includes movement of air and marine transport equipment, overviews of people on location, ongoing work, weather information, the status of wind turbines and substations, key information concerning production, alarms, etc. The information is shown in a zoomable map and on expandable panels. Permits The Permits application allows the operator of a power plant to easily, safely, and efficiently control and perform activities and transport to and from a location. This means it handles access and work permits. The application provides a status overview of all permits and the certificates of personnel and transport equipment. The entire process of the workflow is monitored, from a permit is requested and approved, through its use by people or transport equipment on the location, until the work or access is over, at which point the permit is no longer valid. Detailed reports for permits can also be generated. The Permits application serves as a tool for the operator to coordinate activities on a location, such as simultaneous operations on a substation and a wind farm. EISMAN Calculation This application is designed for the German market. It keeps track of wind power curtailments enforced by grid operators. The asset owner can charge the grid operator for lost production due to curtailments under the renewable energy act.the application allows the user to calculate and quantify reimbursements according to the guideline called Leitfaden zum EEG-Einspeisemanagement (EISMAN) and generates required reports. Events The Events application and the Asset Register together form the backbone of the lifecycle record of an asset. The Events application is used for organizing operational events or HSE incidents. This enables users to keep track of these events and incidents. Events can be created from scratch or based on registered downtime in other applications. Relevant data like related permits, affected assets, other events, comments, and a plan for the next step can be included. Lost production is automatically calculated for operational events, and the application can also generate reports. The archive of all previous events can be searched and sorted to simplify the necessary investigation in retrospect. KONGSBERG Wind Asset Management 3

4 Contracts The Contracts application keeps all contracts for each wind farm in one place for management purposes. It allows the user to partly create a digital version of existing contracts. This simplifies the process of following up milestones and helps ensure compliance of requirements. The application shows whether a contract is at the draft stage, active, or completed, and the contract archive can be searched and sorted. Existing contracts can be saved as templates, making it easier to add similar contracts. Asset Register The Asset Register application is used to register, edit, and track master data for physical installations according to the RDS-PP standard. The user can add documentation, information, mandatory dates, current status, and related events for the assets. The system creates a data register of all the replaced components, providing a complete history and register of all assets. Hence, the application will serve as a lifecycle record for, e.g. wind turbines. The Asset register keeps an overview of all assets, and users can filter and search the information it contains and use it as a practical tool in their everyday work. Maintenance The Maintenance application ensures that required maintenance, inspections, and certifications of assets are done according to plan. It is easy to add one-time or recurring tasks, and a calendar provides an overview of all scheduled tasks, indicating any delay in required maintenance, inspection, and certification. When a scheduled task is approaching, the application will remind the user to apply for permits if needed. The calendar view can be filtered enabling the user to focus on for example delayed maintenance. Training To keep up with the ever-changing technology and maintenance guides, it is imperative for the operations team to enhance their skills and keep up with the best practices. The Training application is used to train and certify personnel for work on site, and to ensure the safety of people and the physical installations. Hence, it can be used for both site induction and other types of education. Administrators can add new courses with training material like videos, power points, and tests. The training application enhances the skill sets of participants, and as the training results for course participants are registered, allowing 4 KONGSBERG Wind Asset Management

6 EmPower Performance Monitoring The Performance Monitoring application aims to identify underperforming turbines and thus lost production. The application provides the user with a performance overview at portfolio, farm, and turbine level. Selected key performance indicators and other calculations are carried out as data is collected and hence monitored continuously. Analysis tools can easily be accessed to explore data in more details. EmPower Condition Monitoring The Condition Monitoring application imports all relevant and available data from the turbines to monitor the most important components. It offers a suite of signal-processing methods and algorithms for improved extraction of the information contained in the data. The application supports condition-based maintenance, provides early detection of faults and enables the user to initiate actions before a fault develops into an un-repairable failure. EmPower Production Forecasting The Production Forecasting application is targeted at minimizing imbalance costs by improving the accuracy of production forecasts used for trading in intraday and day ahead markets. The application also supports maintenance planning by indicating when losses due to production stops are minimized, and by identifying weather windows when maintenance is practicable. Reporting and Visualization The Reporting and Visualization application utilizes Power BI, which is a suite of business analytics tools provided by Microsoft. Power BI can easily connect to various data sources and lets the end user create dashboards and reports. The application embeds reports from Power BI into the same application framework as the other wind asset management applications. The advantage is that all functionality in Power BI can be fully utilized, while the resulting reports and visualizations are still easily accessible from any of the other applications. Data from both external sources and other applications can be used to generate reports and visualizations. This means that users do not need to copy-paste tasks manually. Instead, they free up time they previously spent on such time-consuming work processes. Mobile Application The Mobile application provides an overview of main KPIs, time series, and alarms. Users of the mobile application can access and customize reports and visualizations created in Power BI.
