1 Attached you will find the Fact Sheet for the IT University of Copenhagen for the academic year Here you will find information about the nomination and application deadlines for the fall semester 2018 (April 15 and May 1), an overview of our course catalogue and other relevant information. Please note, that the course overview in the Fact Sheet is based on the previous academic year, but you can use it as inspiration and typically only minor changes will occur for the following year. The course catalogue for the fall semester 2018 is published at our web page during April: Furthermore, here you will find an overview of the application documents, including the exchange application form and the housing application form. I confirm that the students can register for courses at all of the three departments at ITU.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Group work is common at the ITU and will require exchange students to be able to participate in both oral and written English. We expect you to fulfil the level of English stated below, but we do not require documentation. TOEFL: 550 (PBT)/80 (IBT) or IELTS: 6.0

4 COURSES BSc students You can choose courses offered to our BSc students. Furthermore, you have the possibility to do a research project. MSc students You can choose courses offered to our MSc students. Furthermore, you have the possibility to do a research project. Please note that few courses might be completely booked. Moreover, you have to be aware that you might need to fulfil specific prerequisites. You will find further information in the course description at our course catalogue, which is available from around 1 November for the spring semester and from around 1 May for the autumn semester. Registration will take place early December for spring semester and early June for fall semester. 7 LIVING EXPENSES Exchange students must have sufficient funds to cover their living expenses. Living expenses in Copenhagen are on average DKK per month / app. 875 / app. 780 / app. 1040$ (current exchange rate November 2017) HOUSING ITU dorm rooms are managed by The University of Copenhagen Housing Foundation. ITU have limited access to fully furnished dorm rooms close by the ITU. The semester accommodation period are fixed and are as follows: The spring semester: 1 st January/1 st February to 14 th of July The fall semester: 15 th July to 31 st January 1) Signalhuset Kollegiet (28 rooms) Signalhuset is located in the area in Amager called Ørestad and is within walking distance to the metro from where you can easily get to central Copenhagen. It is a modern hall of residence built in Signalhuset is divided into sections which resembles individual apartments. Each section consists of 4 single rooms which each share 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen/small common area. The apartments are mixed gender. The hall of residence has elevators and a laundry mat. There is also a party room which can be rented for social events. 2) Øresundskollegiet (9 rooms 5 single rooms and 4 rooms for couples) Øresundskollegiet is one of the largest student residences in Copenhagen with approximately 1025 rooms. The single rooms have private kitchen and bathroom. The rooms for couples have a living room in addition to that. The residence has several facilities such as a pool table, table tennis, group rooms, exercise equipment and sauna as well as terraces and a bar. There is also a common kitchen on each floor. 3) Tietgenkollegiet (4 rooms) Tietgenkollegiet was ready for the first students to move in at the end of August Tietgenkollegiet is located in Amager, in an upcoming area with several new student halls and the Amager Campus of University of Copenhagen. You are close to both the inner city and to Amager beach with a view to Sweden. The building consists of 6 floors and contains 360 rooms and the residence is fitted with elevators. The rooms are single rooms with private bathroom and shared kitchens. There is one kitchen per 12 rooms. All rooms are fully furnished and come with bedding, linen and towels. INSURANCE You will automatically receive Danish Health Insurance when you are staying in Denmark for a period longer than three months, via the National Danish Security Number (CPR). This gives you the right to free

8 medical treatment by doctors and in hospitals. Dental treatment and home transportation is not included. You must have a third party liability insurance and a home insurance to cover your personal belongings. Non-EU students: Please be aware that the Danish health insurance does not cover you during your first six weeks. RESIDENCE PERMIT All exchange students need to get an EU residence permit. EU/EEA students can get this after arrival. Non-EU students need to get this well before arrival to Denmark. ITU will assist you with information for the visa procedure.
