Unit 2 Global ATP/OLTP Interface In this unit, you will learn about the interface between the OLTP system (OLTP = Online Transaction Processing) and the SCM system. You will also learn which data channels in this interface are relevant for Global ATP. Lesson: Global ATP/OLTP Interface Give an overview of the system group consisting of the ERP system and the SCM system Describe the core interface (CIF) as an interface between the ERP system and SCM system Describe which data channels are available for the ATP check in APO Copy the ATP Customizing from the ERP system to APO SAP AG. All rights reserved. 2

Unit 3 Check Method Selection In this unit, you will familiarize yourself with the basic methods as well as the advanced methods of the availability check. The basic and advanced methods are check methods that determine the way in which the availability check checks the availability of a product. The selection of the check methods in the SCM system depends on specific parameters in the ERP system. You will learn about these parameters in this unit. In addition, you will learn how to customize the ERP and SCM system so that the check methods required are executed during the availability check. Lesson: Check Method Selection Explain the basic concepts of the basic availability check method Explain the basic concepts of the advanced availability check method Define the selection of the check method Explain the significance and determination of the check mode and business event SAP AG. All rights reserved. 3

Unit 4 Product Availability Check In this unit, you will learn about the product availability check as a basic method of the availability check. You will learn how to configure the product availability check and the influence of the scope of check, the usage of a checking horizon, and so on. In addition, you will learn about the concept of the ATP time series livecache and the storage of the ATP elements in the ATP time series. This unit also presents options for simulating the availability check. Lesson: Product Availability Check Set up and use the product availability check Describe the concept of time series in SAP livecache and their role in the availability check Use the simulation function of the availability check SAP AG. All rights reserved. 4

Unit 5 Product Allocation In this unit, you will learn about product allocation as an additional basic method of the ATP check. You will become familiar with the product allocation options and you will learn about the objects and characteristics that comprise a product allocation. In addition, you will learn about single-level and multilevel linking as well as the option of "And" or "Or" linking when you are using multilevel product allocation. At the end of the unit, you should be able to set up product allocation in the system. Lesson: Product Allocation Define the object and the characteristics of the check against product allocations Assign product allocation objects, product allocation groups, and product allocation procedures to products Describe the interaction of the planning area in Demand Planning with product allocation planning Prepare and implement product allocation in ATP SAP AG. All rights reserved. 5

Unit 6 Check Against Forecast In this unit, we will deal with the check against forecast. You will learn how to set up the check against forecast. Lesson: Check Against Forecast Explain and set up the check against forecast SAP AG. All rights reserved. 6

Unit 7 Rules-Based Availability Check The following unit deals with the definition of rules. You will learn about the individual elements that comprise a rule. You will also learn about the specific functions of rules-based ATP, for example, multi-item single delivery location or consolidation location. The second part of the unit will deal with the consolidation technique as a means for rule determination. The third part of the unit deals with interchangeability master data as alternative master data in the SCM system for setting up interchange scenarios. Lesson: Rules-Based Availability Check Explain and define product substitution Explain and define location determination Explain PPM substitution Describe and set up the calculation profile and rule control Lesson: Rule Determination Explain the underlying procedure and methodology of ATP rule determination Describe a field catalog and implement a condition table Define an access sequence and condition type for ATP rule determination Set up condition records for rule determination Define the activation process for rules-based ATP Lesson: Rules-Based ATP Part 2: Consolidation Location and MISL Explain the concept of order-based complete delivery SAP AG. All rights reserved. 7

Define the settings for grouping materials into one location for delivery Lesson: Interchangeability Master Data Explain the options for interchangeability master data Define interchangeability master data Configure the use of interchangeability master data Lesson: Exclusive Rule Strategy Explain the underlying procedure and methodology of the rule strategy sequence Illustrate the function of inclusive and exclusive rule strategies Understand the interaction between inclusive and exclusive rules within a rule strategy sequence Describe the task of alternative rules SAP AG. All rights reserved. 8

Unit 8 Production Within the ATP Check In this unit, you will learn about two procedures that you can use to call production from ATP. These procedures are multilevel ATP check (MATP) and Capable-to-Promise (CTP). You can use these two options in order-based production. At the end of the unit, you should understand and be able to use both procedures.
