By using the dashboard, the administrator is able to define the structure of the application, generate parameters, create users, specify their roles, etc. After defining the initial application in this fashion, any new application built using Neos ADF KickStart includes this original parameters and information library, in addition to a local library containing specific application data. All applications are protected by the security provider that adheres to all JAAS and OPS standards and provides additional protection over LDAP or Kerberos protocols. In other words, anything that proves valuable during application development is easily converted into a library that can be reused in development of another application for the same or a different user. 9 Neos ADF Kickstart provides following functionalities: 9 USERS A functionality used in user management, i.e. defining user permissions and parameters, such as data sources used in application access (e.g. passwords and user names), LDAP server, security, and other parameters. MODULES Components, forms, reports, procedures, etc. Any application component can be defined as a module. This functionality is used in creation of dynamic menus, defining access rights for particular users, etc. PARAMETERS This functionality is used to define system parameters, as well as parameters of each user. They can be defined so that only one or several values are to be taken into consideration, depending on a number of categories or modules they are connected with. MULTI-LANGUAGE SUPPORT This functionality provides support for multiple languages within applications. One language is defined as default, but can be customized on per-user basis. 10 This is where all templates are defined, including parameters for scheduled ing, message statuses, access to message attachments, as well as automatic editing and sending from within applications. SMS This functionality defines parameters regarding handling of SMS messages, i.e. receiving and sending (including bulk operations). It also supports interactive SMS messages (such as those used to check bank account balances). The functionality complies with industry standards and is usable through RS232/USB interfaces. SCHEDULER Scheduler generates reports based on set procedures. It provides facilities for creation of said procedures and definition of parameters for all processes within the application (definition, execution, management and deletion). LOG & AUDIT This functionality tracks user actions within the application, both at system and user level. It provides details about current operational parameters of each module, and enables administrators to easily browse and search through access logs and data entered into the system. SOCIAL NETWORK CONNECTORS Social network connectors enable integration with all leading social networks and platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, FourSquare, etc. They enable application access through single sign-on via Facebook, provide means for integration with CRM systems, as well as making use of advanced analytics and text analysis systems. 10
