5 Course Overview Course Overview This course is designed to educate users in the features and functions of Demand Planning in SAP SCM. You will also learn basic navigational skills in developing demand plans, executing univariate forecasting, causal analysis, and composite forecasting techinques. Additional functionality such as marketing and sales tools, promotion planning, life cycle planning, and "like" modeling will be used. Finally, you will learn how to release demand plans to the SAP SCM livecache for Supply Network Planning and Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling. Target Audience This course is intended for the following audiences: Any user, key user, project team member, or consultant Course Prerequisites Required Knowledge Basic understanding of SAP SCM/APO processes Recommend that you attend SCM200 before attending this course. Recommended Knowledge Basic Knowledge of any companies demand planning or sales and operations planning process. 7 Unit 1 Supply Chain Management: An Overview Unit Overview The unit provides an overview of Demand Planning in SAP SCM. The focus of the unit is planning books, macros, and demand plans using univariate forecasting, causal analysis, and composite forecasting. The unit also describes how to use marketing and sales tools, such as promotion planning, life-cycle planning, and "like" modeling. To conclude, the lesson describes how demand plans are released to Supply Network Planning and Production Planning / Fine Planning. 8 Unit 2 Interactive Planning Unit Overview In this unit you will create selection ID s that can be assigned to users and learn to navigate within the planning table. You will learn to maintain planning data at different levels and list the different disaggregation options. You will be able to describe how proportional factors are used and how they affect the final forecast. Lesson: Navigation in the Interactive Planning Table Use the shuffler and the selection area to display data of selected objects. Create, save, and assign Selection ID s to User Logon ID s.
