4 PRODUCT OVERVIEW Nexala is a leading provider of systems and solutions for the rail, bus, tram, and transport infrastructure sectors. R2M E2M C2M P2M real-time remote DiAGnostiC monitoring (r2m) engineering maintenance management (e2m) ComPonent ConDition monitoring (C2m) in-service PerFormAnCe PlAnninG & management (P2m) The Nexala R2M system combines shore-based software and on-train equipment to deliver alerts of faults as they as occur for effective condition based maintenance. Communicating with the maintenance depots in real-time, it allows for efficient fault diagnostics, and work scheduling by the maintenance team. Furthermore, by analysing irregularities of individual components and their behaviour across the entire fleet, it allows maintenance actions to be performed to potentially avoid future failures. The Nexala E2M system is an enterprise-wide engineering, asset and maintenance management system. It is designed to control assets, manage stock, streamline procurement, schedule workshop operations, and plan maintenance in order to achieve optimum asset availability and labour utilisation. Nexala s C2M suite combines trackside and handheld measuring devices with software analytics to proactively monitor wheels, brakes, pantographs, and key components for wear and defects. By detecting and analysing anomalies, it provides predictive advice of maintenance requirements and automates maintenance planning. The Nexala P2M system uses timetable, actual vehicle location and real-time diagnostics information to help identify the root cause of delays and plan journeys for optimum timetable adherence. Through a combination of journey planning and improved driver awareness, it also is used to maximise energy/fuel efficiency, and manage driver behaviour. P2M also provides the operations teams with inservice recommendations when fleet failures occur to reduce delays and penalties. 6 NEXALA R2M Nexala R2M is a real-time remote diagnostic system for rail vehicles. Nexala R2M processes diagnostic data received from each rail vehicle (in real-time). real-time remote DiAGnostiC monitoring Nexala R2M provides a comprehensive view of the overall fleet status including any specific vehicle faults and identifies any potential faults that may arise. Nexala R2M also analyses and detects anomalies in specific onvehicle component behaviour and uses this information to identify the health and status of both the individual component and the possible impact that this behaviour may have on the vehicle and to the overall fleet. The system can also be used after an incident or fault has occurred to replay the history of events and the condition and behaviour of the vehicle that led to the fault or incident. Nexala R2M provides a combination of both shore-based software and on-train hardware together and process information in real-time from the train. 10 NEXALA NCU nexala ncu on-board Control unit The Nexala Control Unit (NCU) is an approved on-board condition monitoring device for the rail industry that can connect to a large number of on-board train signals and systems. The NCU is extremely configurable and has been designed specifically for the high reliability diagnostic application Nexala R2M. The device has been designed to comply with the railway standard EN50155 for electronic equipment on rolling stock. 11 ON-BOARD EQUIPMENT & SAAS TECHNOLOGY on-board timetable ADVisory system The Nexala Cab advisory system is an on-board system that informs the driver on-train performance and adherence to timetable. The system is designed for use on a tablet PC (ipad, ipad mini, or Android tablets) and can also be installed on TMS MMI displays. The system will also advise the driver in the event of a fault on the best recovery actions and advice to keep the train in-service.
