RETHINKING ENGINEERING SOLUTION OVERVIEW Data Intelligence Analysis Platform Digital transformation of the manufacturing industry DIAP - the heartbeat of your production

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY DECREASE COSTS Digital transformation changes the way production processes are managed and information is shared. The transformation increases productivity and transparency while decreasing costs and downtime. By digitalizing work processes, manual and paper-based procedures can be replaced by data-driven. A decision of when to service a machine will then be based on the current condition and performance of that exact machine and not on pre-defined maintenance schedules. There is a lot to gain by transforming production data into actionable insights. To utilize the vast amounts of data that flow through production sites every day from machines, equipment and devices, companies need a platform capable of uncovering the valuable information hidden in the data. Data Intelligence Analysis Platform DIAP is an Industrial Internet of Things platform designed to fit all kinds of production environments. Immediately after installation, the plug-and-play solution will start collecting data from up to as many as five PLCs, multiple external sensors or industrial robots. Using a computer, tablet or smartphone, you can access the data in real-time and gain valuable insight into the details of your production. 1. Connect Connect to your machines through PLCs, sensors or robots 2. Manage Condition monitoring, real-time analytics and fully configurable dashboards 3. Improve Use the knowledge for proactive actions and predictive insights 4 competitive advantages Reduce system downtime Reduce problems and failures with alarm notifications and remote access Live machine data Continuosly improve processes thanks to real-time and historical data System update and upgrade The license-based software updates regularly. The software can be upgraded with additional functionalities, as needed A complete solution Gateway, secure cloud storage and ana lytics software in one unique solution

The DIAP application gives operators and technicians an easy overview of the current machine status and sends notifications if an alarm occurs.

Industrially Designed Gateway DIAP DIAP GATEWAY CONNECTING DATA, CLOUD AND USER The DIAP gateway collects production data from PLCs and/or sensors. The data is stored in the cloud or locally and is aggregated for analysis in the DIAP web client. DIAP can be deployed in almost all production environments as the aluminum cased gateway can withstand temperatures between -40 and +80 degrees Celsius. The gateway can be installed in any size and type of production as it is easily mounted on the DIN-rail of the electrical cabinet. The hardware connections are galvanic isolated to avoid ground loops and minimize the influence of voltage surges. DIAP gateway is connectable with existing machines using the RS485 connection and can communicate with devices on the CAN bus. 6 Digitalization Four Phases ELTRONIC DIGITALIZATION PLATFORM Digital transformation means integrating digital technology into the production. Eltronic s four phases of digital transformation allow you to gradually expand your DIAP solution as you see fit. The first descriptive phase is a mandatory basis. The consecutive performance, predictive and prescriptive phases consist of add-on functionalities. The Eltronic Digitalization Platform is license based. The functionalities integrated in your solution therefore always matches your current stage of digital transformation. Furthermore, the license-based solution ensures a system that is always up to date. 1) DATA COLLECTION & AGGREGATION BASIC FUNCTIONALITIES 4) SELF-LEARNING & -ADJUSTING MACHINES ADD-ON FUNCTIONALITIES 2) DIGITAL LEAN & OEE ADD-ON FUNCTIONALITIES 3) MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT ADD-ON FUNCTIONALITIES Performance Predictive! Descriptive Prescriptive Digital Transformation

Data Collection & Aggregation Descriptive BASIC FUNCTIONALITIES LIVE DATA & HISTORICAL REPORTING Digital transformation begins with real-time monitoring of machines and equipment. Monitoring the production provides you with information about the presence of a fault, leak or error before the machine s safety system causes the machine to stop. Tracking systems, machines and equipment performance in real-time allows you to make quick decisions that can greatly affect the efficiency of your entire production process. Analyzing the operational data from identical machines in several locations makes it possible for you to optimize all machines for the highest performance level and thus create a more efficient production line. Over time, historical data can be presented on an hour-to-hour, day-to-day and month-to-month basis for an easy comparison of your plant s performance. Remote Monitoring of Machine Conditions Alarm Management and Notifications Real-time Analytics Monitoring and measuring even the simplest parameters can prolong the service life of a machine. In addition, it will reduce downtime and maintenance costs as you can act immediately in case of machine malfunctions. The DIAP web client lets you send critical alarms to selected employees ensuring that errors are addressed quickly. You can receive alarm notifications on both the DIAP web client and the DIAP app. On-demand manufacturing insights provide a live snapshot of what is happening in your production. This enables faster, more precise and more effective decision-making.

Performance Digital LEAN & OEE ADD-ON FUNCTIONALITIES DIGITALIZING PROCEDURES The digital factory includes digitalizing procedures for measuring OEE, registering stop causes and LEAN. Registering stop causes as they occur, provides you with exact stop times, knowledge on the most frequent stop causes and live OEE numbers. The real-time insight eases the efforts of improving cycle times and thus the Overall Equipment Effectiveness. The performance phase includes func tionalities such as: Overall Equipment Effectiveness Stop Cause Registration Digital LEAN (3P) CASE STUDY: FMC Automating LEAN and OEE at FMC s bottling unit An improved OEE, saved time and an immediate entry point for discussing problems and measures of improvement are some of the benefits experienced by FMC (Cheminova). The company has complete documentation of stops and an improved focus on avoiding them. Main solution functionalities: Stop Cause Registration Overall Equipment Effectiveness

Maintenance Management Predictive ADD-ON FUNCTIONALITIES MAINTENANCE 4.0 If an industrial robot or assembly machine starts running irregularly, errors are more likely to occur. The knowledge gained by actively using DIAP in your production provides operators and technicians with a strong basis for performing predictive maintenance. Upgrading maintenance to 4.0 increases machine availability, improves service continuously and reduces unscheduled downtime. The predictive phase includes func tionalities such as: Predictive Maintenance Advanced Alarm Management Statistical Process Control (SPC) Self-learning and -adjusting Machines Prescriptive ADD-ON FUNCTIONALITIES AUTONOMOUS TECHNOLOGY Artificial intelligence and machine learning are ways of making work processes simpler and more efficient. These technologies have the potential of being the biggest driver of increased productivity as the autonomous nature of the functionalities will boost employees performance by eliminating some of the monotonous and laborintensive aspects of their jobs. The prescriptive phase includes func tionalities such as: Big Data Analytics Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence (AI)

DIAP Secure Storage and Access STORING AND ACCESSING THE DATA INFORMATION SECURITY ASSURANCE The secure storage of and access to the production data is pivotal to the DIAP business model. We offer three different ways of storing and accessing the data to ensure maximum protection of sensitive information. Cloud-based storage DIAP gateway sends the production data to a cloud database making the entire software suite available. Every user has unique access. Access limitations are managed by the administrator. The data is stored safely in the cloud. Local storage The data is sent to a local database on your own network s server. This gives you a closed system which can only be accessed by authorized personnel. The DIAP data analytics software, web client and application are not accessible when choosing this option. Local storage and web access The data is stored locally on a closed network. The data analysis software, web client and application are connected to the local database and therefore a part of the closed system.
