We are not there yet but we are improving What has been done: Centralised organisation and harmonised service delivery Good data and data handling IT systems Covernance Principles roles and responsibilities Cost transparency to show where the costs are coming Big Nordic projects with great cost savings - Money talks Good international network for benchmarking and learning 5

6 Challenges in Nordea? A lot can be improved there is always room for improvements Challenges: Communication partly due to different nationalities Leadership cross border challenges Change management to learn out from the old way Mindset of customer is always right professionals should know better 6

Delivery: design & planning, project management, procurement, and moves 4. Verification: feedback collection and continuous improvement We have better possibilities to concentrate here Our social interaction has improved, and those who were behind the corner are now better included in the team. We know now what s happening in the projects when we hear discussions in the workspace, and can comment and help each other out. 7

9 CRE has overall responsibility for Ecological Footprint in Nordea Initiated in autumn 2008: cross unit and cross border teams were established and collected under same umbrella LEED chosen to have one common approach and ambitious target 14 main office buildings with 9500 employees received the certificate end 2009 being the biggest LEED outside USA LEED is going to be used in new office projects as a too: Focus not only in energy efficiency but also in behaviour of occupiers 9
