A Managed Workspace In Minutes

McCloud and Coworks Create Instant Workspaces Coworks, hubs and clubs; accelerators, meeting venues, and pop-up spaces; increasingly, these are the shared workspaces where people choose to work. But customers need a specialised infrastructure - one that enables each user to work efficiently and securely. Workspace hosts require that the infrastructure delivers paid-for member benefits. McCloud does that. Additionally, there s plenty of great 3rd party software to manage members and guests. McCloud can talk directly to these applications. All this, available as a managed service on monthly subscription.

Everything You Need To Create a Shared Workspace Quick view - How does it work? Medusa is inserted between the Internet and the building. It manages people using the infrastructure of the space - Internet, switches, Wi-Fi, and other services. Within the space we create a network for individuals such as Guests and members. There are also secure networks for Companies and Resources. Every users gets a bandwidth plan that manages their Internet performance. To automate your processes, you can use our Integrations library with space management platforms and CRMs. Alternatively, there s a friendly web interface to manage changes to your space directly.

Bandwidth by Account Type All individuals (or People ) must login to get Internet, the duration of which is usually set by the Admin. Company users are treated differently, see below. There are many types of device account and you can set the bandwidth for these types so that users have a bandwidth associated with their activity in the workspace. Once a person s devices are registered, a login is never required again until expiry. The People zone works across wired and wireless connections equally without distinction. Guests, Visitors and Meetings An external user logs in as one of the Guest types, which provides a short duration account of your choosing. They don t need credentials but enter their contact details, which can be sent, via Integrations, to a CRM. The gateway screen is viewed by Members and Guests when they look for Internet access. The page is branded and can be customised. You can even add your own T&Cs. Access records can be made available. You can separately manage Meetings user accounts, among other types available. Housekeeping automatically tidies up accounts after Guests leave. Manging Members A Member is defined as needing credentials in order to get access. Members usually have longer duration accounts and more devices. Credentials are set manually or by an Integration with a platform.

In Q2 2017, we will release the ability to recognise Members and Guests across multiple sites. Also included is an authentication option where users must verify their details within a set window. Companies Where several people work together in a company or project, they may wish to network privately and share bandwidth. Secure company networks provide everything required to operate 1 to 250 devices under a company name. Networks have the full range of resources including DHCP facilities, aliases, public IPs etc. Integrations will automate your processes by linking premises (McCloud) events to your cloud platforms. Guest details can be sent to CRMs like Mailchimp, where you can automate your follow ups. Member integrations check entered credentials against your chosen platform, such as: Nexudus OfficeRND. Cobot Special networks are shared resources, voice and others The most common special networks are for shared printing and voice services. Utility or DMZ networks provide shared access to a secure network for copiers, printers, scanners etc. These devices are important to users. Voice networks allow hosted or premises voice services to be added, and they even support converged voice and data on the same handset. Also check out our integration with Appointedd for a powerful, yet simple booking system Bandwidth and volume quotas are managed for companies by Service Plans. Specify shared or guaranteed bandwidth, and set a volume quota per month. Presence, Time Plan or Membership accounting tracks Member time on site. When the member arrives, McCloud automatically checks in with the platform (and out when they leave). Data is also on our UI. Members and Guests can have, in addition, 5 levels of device bandwidth set by type.

Popular makes of switches can be controlled from our User Interface, which we call Medusa Managed. Other switches are manually configured. You can control the assignment and enable functions of managed switch ports from the UI. Normally you provide the Internet connections. It is easy to create resilient, multiple connections which can be loadbalanced. Most users are secure behind our on-board firewall, but the UI allows companies to have simple-to-manage public IP facilities for remote access, own firewalls and servers. We deal in rooms and floor ports, so you can easily manage your space without spreadsheets and cable swaps. It s called Patchless. Doorflow automates physical access to the property, meeting rooms and any other zone on presentation of a credential. These can be pin codes or proximity cards. The system can be completely automated and be driven (via APIs) from billing systems, social media apps, or our cloud-based portal. You can extend any network onto Wi-Fi and use your own Wi-Fi devices if you wish. Wired and wireless operation is interchangeable. However, we can provide a special Medusa-Managed Wi-Fi that has extra resources to assist you.

McCloud is Hybrid Cloud Hybrid Cloud is where there is a secure appliance on your premises, but which has its intelligence and user interface (UI) in the cloud. See diagram. This arrangement is very fast and very reliable, and is always up to date. Subscriptions You select your subscription level by size, select a chassis appropriate to your workspace, and then add various options.
