Phil Scott Dec 1, Add Avaya URL and Support updates Phil Scott 2 Introduction Avaya ebusiness global commercial tools offer web-based applications to Quote, Price, Configure and Order Avaya products and solutions. The suite includes Enterprise Configurator (EC) for Quoting and Configuration, Global Product & Price Catalogue (GPPC) for product and pricing information, Keycode Retrieval System (KRS) for keycode generation, Order Centre (OC) for order status and order placement and the Back End Crediting Solution (BECS) for managing back end credits. These release notes are focused on KRS. KRS is a web-based, global tool for customers to retrieve and generate software keycode licenses for Avaya Nortel Enterprise Solutions (NES). 4 3 New Features 3.1 New Product Introduction - ID Engines NAP Posture Licenses 3.2 Marketing Promotions There are no new marketing programs in this release. 3.3 New Functionality There is no new functionality in this release apart from enabling PASS Base contract (GE) views. 3.4 Tool Changes Avaya WO-275 CS 1000 (Global) Add View Contracts enhancement for PASS Base (GE) contracts KRS is updated to display PASS Base Technical Support Service contracts (GE type) for all products EXCEPT CallPilot. [Note: The exception for CallPilot results from a limitation with the PASS Base contract entitlement for CallPilot on the service contracts database]. The pop-up message for Contracts not Found is updated as follows: A new warning message is added to the footer of each contract display page: KRS 10.9 Release Notes Page 4 of 15

5 FR 135 CS 1000, BCM (Global) FR 164 BCM50/450 (Global) FR 177 BCM50/SRG50 (Global) FR 178 Media Application Server (Global) FR 188 ID Engines (Global) Allow Stocking Distributors to see service contracts sold to Resellers This change permits Stocking Distributor users to view service contracts that are registered to Resellers but were sold on a Stocking Distributor PO. The registered KRS Account ID for the user must match the Sell To Account ID on the contract. This change bypasses the Distributor of Record limitation on contract viewing whereby Stocking Distributor users were presented with the message: There is an existing Service Contract for this site but it cannot be displayed as you are not the Distributor of Record for this site. Add BCM Rls 6.0 for SRS upgrades on sites with active contracts In line with BCM Rls 6.0 GA, the free SRS upgrades that are offered for sites with SRS contracts have been updated to include a choice of Rls 5.0 or 6.0. The Rls 5.0 upgrade offering will be discontinued on Dec 6. Note: This change was actually implemented in KRS in mid-september. Add BCM50 Rls 6 to SRG50 Rls 6 conversion for CS 2100 KRS is updated to accept the electronic authcode NTKC1255 for generation of the conversion keycode for BCM50 Rls 6.0 to SRG50 Rls 6.0 on the CS 2100 platform. Increase MAS capacity to 4 MAC addresses Increased the capacity for the Media Application Server (MAS) to accept 4 MAC addresses to align with the product requirements. Add ID Engines NAP Posture Licenses KRS is updated to support the 7.0 Ignition Server release which introduces NAP KRS 10.9 Release Notes Page 5 of 15

6 Posture licenses for small and large capacity: -SMALL works for Base License type LITE and SMALL -LARGE type for Base License type LARGE Existing Posture licenses are interpreted as TNC Posture. Depending on the type of requirements, user can choose to obtain TNC posture license or NAP posture license. 3.5 Products Removed/Retired No Products retired or removed in this release. 7 4 Tool General Information User Registration and Login All Avaya Associates, Partners, Resellers and Distributors must have an Avaya Single Sign On (SSO) to gain access to all the ebusiness commercial tools. To request a Single Sign On (SSO) user id and password please go to: and click on Register now. SSO Login screen To request access to the KRS tool, go to: and select the option for KRS. Other ebusiness tools can also be requested from this site URLs ebusiness portal All the ebusiness Commercial tools are accessible via the ebusiness portal which can be accessed regionally as follows: Americas & Asia: EMEA: Select the tools and other information from the drop down in the banner across the top of the ebusiness portal screen. 8 In addition to accessing the tools, users have access to additional information including Known Issues, Useful Information, Support, Notification and OrderPro download. At the bottom left hand side of the screen Change can be selected to change the user channel account or stream when there is more than one user channel account or stream available. Streams are pertinent where there are two different versions of EC available at the same time for quoting. Please note the case number and reference it in any communications with support on a reported issue. 4.3 KRS Documentation The primary source for user documentation on KRS is the KRS tool. User Guides and select training documents are available under each Product instance on KRS by using the Documentation, Forms and User Guides link from the Product Control menu. 4.4 Useful Information and Training from the ebusiness Portal The Useful Information link that is accessible from the Support option on the ebusiness portal page provides helpful information about the all the ebusiness tools. 10 The Training Schedule folder contains leader led training schedules for all the ebusiness tools. A folder is provided specifically for KRS with subfolders that contain information and reference files for: Release Notes containing NPI, Functionality and enhancement information for each release Training containing the ebusiness Tools Course Guide with webinar links for all tools, including KRS; plus slide presentations for each KRS webinar course. 11 Additional documentation and information on the ebusiness Commercial Tools is also available on the Avaya Partner Portal at: Subscription Services Avaya posts s to subscribed users of the specific categories available within the subscription service. To update your profile log into the ebusiness portal as follows: Americas & Asia: EMEA: Select the Support Drop down and then Notification. On the notification screen select the category for the desired module e.g. KRS in the example below has three subcategories: Outage Information Release Information Special Notices, Training and Events Information Select the desired categories for subscription and select the Save button from the bottom of the list. Contracts with future start dates are not reported. 15 o o o PASS Base Technical Support (GE type) contracts are not displayed for CallPilot. This is a limitation with the contract entitlement for CallPilot on the service contracts database. (Note: This limitation was changed with Release 10.9, Nov 18, 2010). CCE users may display quantity 1. This is due to a contracts database issue. Such discrepancies can be referred to the Service Contracts mailbox at scontrac@avaya.com. ACE, SCS & MCS5100 are not supported products for contract viewing. KRS 10.9 Release Notes Page 15 of 15
