1 Avaya IP Office 5.0 Westcon Convergence is pleased to announce the availability of Avaya IP Office 5.0. This latest release from Avaya introduces new packaging and feature enhancements to help Resellers increase sales and deliver business benefits to their customers. This document provides a summary of the key IP Office 5.0 changes. Simplified Licensing Structure IP Office 5.0 introduces a new licensing model in order to simplify selling and procurement, as well as driving revenues by increasing application sales. 2 User Productivity profile solutions have been introduced to simplify selling and to facilitate a consultative selling approach whereby business issues specific to worker types can be addressed with IP Office. Group Collaboration solutions provide system wide cost saving, productivity and customer service enhancing features, based on business requirements. Platform and Phone options provide scalable and flexible solutions to meet the needs of every SMB. Multi-site option enables up to 32 IP Office systems to be networked for seamless feature transparency. Increased System Capacity With IP Office 5.0, the system capacity of IP Office 500 is increased as follows: IP Office 4.2 IP Office 5.0 Professional Edition required to scale up or add advanced applications Professional Edition is eliminated Scale: IP500 up to 272 extensions IP412 up to 360 extensions Simplified Platform: Capacity of the IP Office 500 increases from 272 to 384 Voic Pro capacity of 30 ports Preferred Edition capacity of 40 ports One Built-in 64 Party Conference Bridge Doubles capacity; Like the IP412, the IP500 will have TWO built-in 64-Party Conference bridges The Conference Bridge capacity of IP Office 500 is increased with 5.0 software - no additional hardware is required. SIP Endpoint Support IP Office 5.0 provides support for SIP endpoints and T.38 fax communications over SIP. 5 4. IP Office Resilency IP Office 5.0 introduces resilency to a Small Community Network (SCN): IP Office systems can be connected together via a meshed network. This ensures that there is no single point of failure. In a SCN environment, an IP Office can be assigned to backup another IP Office to provide business continuity in the event of failure (16xx IP phones, one-x Portal and Mobile Worker licenses only). Preferred Edition (Voic Pro) can register to an alternative IP Office in the event of failure. 5. one-x Portal for IP Office one-x Portal for IP Office is a thin client application that provides users with telephony control from the desktop. This offers users with easy access to telephony features, call information, call control, directory and Voic Pro (Preferred Edition) mailbox. The following features are supported on one-x Portal: Control calls from any IP Office extension (IP, SIP, Digital or Analogue) Answer, Drop, Hold, Record Access to phone settings (Fwd, DND) Centralised call log (e.g. missed calls) Dynamically updated user call log Personal directory External directory access via LDAP Presence (Busy Lamp Field) Voic management (requires Preferred Edition) Key benefits of one-x Portal: Quick and cost effective to deploy Supported on a range of browsers such as IE, Firefox and Safari Works in Citrix / Terminal Services and Apple Mac environments one-x Portal is included with the Tele-Worker and RFAs.

6 6. Customer Call Reporter (CCR) CCR is a new contact centre application designed to help SMBs manage customer service. Enabling the effective management of agent activity and customer demand can help to improve customer satisfaction and customer retention. 7 7. DECT R4 The Avaya DECT R4 solution delivers productivity enhancing benefits of IP and wireless communications across multiple offices. Supported on both IP Office and Communication Manager, DECT R4 provides a cost effective, high voice quality solution that is easy to deploy and scale. The DECT R4 solution consists of: Two wireless handsets; 3720 and handset has colour screen, supports Bluetooth headsets and is liquid proof Two radio base stations (RBS) - internal and external antennas Supports 120 handsets and 32 base stations Backwards compatible with IP DECT (limited functionality) An optional AIWS appliance server for advanced centralised features such as: - corporate directory - internal phone book access - simple text messaging - integration of messaging - integration of external applications - centralised configuration - centralised management The 3725 handset has extended functionality with a colour display, speakerphone, and is Bluetooth headset compatible. The 3720 handset offers standard functionality with black & white display, speakerphone, and is headset compatible.
