This includes instructor-led webinars that will be conducted throughout the year, as well as self-paced resources like online videos, the reference guide, and practice labs. The School of BCRM is a great resource for new JA Area Staff as well as existing Staff who wish to expand their knowledge of BCRM. Additionally, JA USA is adding more resources to the School of BCRM to expand our curriculum to more advanced topics. Courses Instructor-Led Webinars These courses are paced throughout the year. Some courses target beginners and others cover deeper information for those who wish to expand their knowledge and usage of BCRM. New Associate Intro to JA USA Technology Solutions Welcome to JA! There is much to learn as a new associate and in this course we ll give you an introduction to the many software packages and other critical technology solutions available to Junior Achievement associates. 2 hours February 6, 2019 September 4, 2019 Topics: Introductions to Workday, Help Desk, Help Desk Solutions, BCRM Landing Page, JA Engage, UMS/CK (User Management System/Cross Knowledge), School of BCRM, BizApps (School PINs, Variances, Crystal Reports, etc.), On-line 2

3 BCRM Overview part 1 What s It All About? programs (JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, JA Titan), Qgiv, Emma , and Password reset. BCRM is our Constituent Relationship Management software. There s a lot to know! This overview is the first of a two-session course on the basics you need to know about BCRM. 2 hours February 13, 2019 September 11, 2019 BCRM Overview part 2 What s It All About? Non-revenue letters Custom Correspondence Topics: BCRM Landing page, Navigation, Constituent entry, Functional areas, Integrations (JA Engage, UMS/CK), Program management Output (Reports/queries), MyFundraiser page. This is session 2 of our two-part overview of BCRM basic information. Topics: Revenue, Qgiv integration, Emma integration, Prospect management, FROG, Revenue output, MyFundraiser page. Ever need to send correspondence to educators and volunteers? Or maybe a general Holiday greeting? Custom Correspondence helps you generate non-revenue related mailings to your constituents. 2 hours February 14, 2019 September 25, hour March 6, 2019 Revenue Correspondence You re wonderful! Sending Mass Appeal Mailings Help Wanted Event Management Basics Event Participants Topics: Custom Correspondence; one-off letters. Mom always said to say thank you. This course covers Acknowledgement and Pledge Reminder letters in BCRM. Topics: Acknowledgement Letters, Pledge reminder letters. Did you know you can send a mailing to many recipients for a specific defined ask? This course covers how to set up Appeals, Appeal Mailings and Appeal Mailing Packages. Topics: Appeal mailings, Appeal mailing packages. Any gathering of constituents is considered an event in BCRM. This introductory course covers the basics of tracking these gatherings in BCRM. Topics: Creating events in BCRM, assigning event related tasks to individuals, managing volunteers, and attaching revenue to an event. Without participants there are no events. This introductory course covers tracking event attendees. Pre-requisite: Event Management Basics. 1 hour March 13, hour March 20, hour April 3, 2019 October 2, hour April 10, 2019 October 9, 2019 Topics: Registration options, event payments, invitations, event registrations, and a comparison of preferences and attributes. 3

4 Managing Team Fundraising in BCRM Split or Strike! Bowl-a-Thons are just one example of when event participants are raising funds on behalf of JA. This course explains how to set up Team Fundraising events in BCRM. Pre-requisites: Event Management Basics and Event Participants 1 hour April 24, 2019 Auctions in BCRM Going once, Going Twice, SOLD! Queries in Bite-Sized Pieces The First Bites Queries in Bite-Sized Pieces The Crunchy Bites Topics: Setting up a Team Fundraising event, configuring Teams and goals, tracking results. Auctions are important fundraising events. This course discusses how to set up and track an auction in BCRM. Pre-requisite: Event Management Basics. Topics: Setting up Auctions in BCRM, Auction Item Inventory, adding items to auctions, recording purchases. Queries are the best way to pull specific information out of BCRM. This course provides an introduction to queries in BCRM. Topics: Basic query information, defining the need, an overview of the interface, practical information, and troubleshooting tips. Query results can be baffling without some small adjustments to make them easier to comprehend. Pre-requisite: Queries The First Bites 1 hour October 23, hour May 1, hour May 8, 2019 Queries in Bite-Sized Pieces The Chunky Bites Topics: Advanced filtering, smart fields, aggregations, examining results, selections and how to use them, and exporting information. Queries can be complex this course shows you techniques for expanding query functionality. Pre-requisites: Queries The First Bites and Queries Crunchy Bites 1 hour May 22, 2019 Managing Classes in BCRM: Getting Started Topics: Merging selections, smart queries, and query maintenance. This beginning course on Program Management introduces Program Managers to class management in BCRM. Topics: Lifecycle of a class, entering classes one-off and through batch entry, adding a school and its district relationship to BCRM, adding a volunteer and primary business relationship, looking for existing School PINs and requesting new School PINs, correcting class errors, linking account to constituent record. 1.5 hours June 5,

5 Managing Classes in BCRM: Intermediate Class management is more than just entering the class in BCRM. This course includes more information important for all program managers. Pre-requisite: Managing Classes in BCRM: Getting Started 1.5 hours June 12, 2019 Managing Classes in BCRM: Extra Goodies Topics: Variances, school PINs, JA Engage, blended programs, organizational override, student demographics, orphaned classes, locked classes, kit delivery tracking, program related reports. This course discusses functionality that will help program managers streamline class management administrative tasks. Pre-requisites: Managing Classes in BCRM: Getting Started and Intermediate 1 hour June 26, 2019 Revenue Basics BCRM s Money Trail part 1 Revenue Intermediate BCRM s Money Trail part 2 Revenue Advanced BCRM s Money Trail part 3 Topics: Volunteer preferences, class suggestion, copying classes, modifying class contact, prospect plans for classes, modifying class status in bulk. Revenue is critical to support our programs and mission. This course discusses the basics of revenue management. Topics: Revenue flow, Batch entry, One-off entry, Introduction to sending reminders and acknowledgements, Third party payments, MyFundraiser page. This course provides information on more complex revenue situations often encountered by revenue staff. Pre-requisite: Revenue Basics BCRM s Money Trail part 1 Topics: Adding Appeals, handling Multi-year pledges, Installment pledges, recognition credit for soft credits and solicitors, payments on behalf of another constituent s pledge. This course contains topics requiring advanced permissions in BCRM. Pre-requisites: Revenue Basics BCRM s Money Trail part 1 and Revenue Intermediate BCRM s Money Trail part 2 1 hour July 31, hour August 7, hour August 28, 2019 Managing Prospects in BCRM Step by Step Basic Steps Topics: Posting revenue, deposits, adjustments, write-offs, issuing refunds. Successful prospect management is a series of steps. This course discusses the basic steps for setting up prospects, prospect plans and opportunities. Topics: Prospect Plans vs appeals, Moves Management, Suddes Group Individual Giving, adding prospects, adding prospect plan templates, prospect managers, prospect plan roles, opportunities, attaching funds to the opportunity, fundraising constituency. 1.5 hours November 6,

6 Managing Prospects in BCRM Step by Step Intermediate Steps Knowing your prospect and what transpires with them is key in maintaining good relationships. This course shows several ways to help. Pre-requisite: Managing Prospects in BCRM Step by Step Basic Steps 1 hour November 13, 2019 Managing Prospects in BCRM Step by Step Advanced Steps Topics: Interactions, FROG, Output, Archiving expired plans Knowing the next steps, upcoming tasks and the history of your prospect activities can aid you in staying on top of your prospecting. Pre-requisite: Managing Prospects in BCRM Step by Step Basic Steps and Intermediate Steps 1 hour November 20, 2019 Topics: Using MyFundraiser to manage next steps, prospects and plans; Major Giving Management, Organization Hierarchy Registration Process Every month, JA USA will publish the signup information for the trainings in the following month. For example in March, the signup for the April courses will open. Each course is limited to 40 attendees, so be sure to sign up early. The courses are provided free of charge to all JA Areas. But there is a penalty of $50 for any staff who does not show to the course. Attendees may cancel up to 48 hours in advance without incurring the penalty. Accessing the Courses All meetings will be held online. Upon registering for a course, registrants will receive a calendar invite that includes the information on how to access the webinar. Please accept this calendar invite as this will be added to your calendar with reminders prior to the start of the meeting. Recordings Recordings of all webinars will be posted on the School of BCRM, in the Webinar Recordings Module. Self-Paced Online Training In addition to our webinars, JA USA provides a full suite of short videos where you can learn about BCRM. These videos are broken down by topics and are easy to reference again and again through your usage of BCRM. JA USA recommends that all onboarding staff complete the relevant videos prior to using BCRM. The videos are available through the JA Learning Platform under the School of BCRM ( If you do not see the School of BCRM under your available courses, contact your local JA Learning Platform administrator. Courses are updated and/or added to the School of BCRM on a continual basis. This list may not be comprehensive. 6

7 Available Self-Paced Online Training The following table outlines the self-paced courses available through the JA Learning Platform. Module Description Lessons Overview Constituent Management Program Management Development Revenue Queries and Reports The School of BCRM Overview covers BCRM basic navigation, using the BCRM Home Page, Shortcuts and how to View a Record. Audience: All JA Area Staff Constituent management is composed of several interactive learning videos to guide all users on how to add, edit, and manage all types of constituent records, including Program-related constituents, Donors, Board Members and more. Audience: All JA Area Staff Designed to guide Program Managers through day-to-day activities such as adding and managing classes, volunteer recruitment, and how to build custom correspondence letters to reach Educators and Volunteers. Audience: JA Area Program Managers This training module is designed for Development and Fundraising JA Area associates. The videos include how to add and manage Prospects, Appeals, Campaigns and Grants. Audience: JA Area Development Staff This module includes videos for revenue management in BCRM. Revenue letters such as Acknowledgements and Pledge Reminders (invoices) are also part of this e-learning module. Audience: JA Area Finance Staff Designed to walk BCRM users through building and using queries to obtain the needed information.
