2 Vodafone Global Enterprise Order, track and manage mobile device procurement through one centralised system Central Ordering is a secure web-based portal enabling you to easily order devices and services from Vodafone through one centralised interface. It removes the complexities of managing device orders across a global network of offices. With Central Ordering you gain greater control over your mobile communications procurement at a local level whilst reducing time and costs associated with ordering multiple devices and services across different business units. Using Central Ordering, your choosers can access a secure online catalogue to browse a portfolio of approved devices, compare product features and place orders quickly and easily. The online catalogue is created specifically for your company based on your device requirements and the contractually agreed services. By managing device selection centrally you can ensure consistency of usage across your users and accurately monitor orders across your company operations. Detailed online reporting improves visibility for your administrators and nominated users who can utilise Central Ordering to review a complete inventory of orders placed in the system and analyse order history at a central or local level. The solution provides a secure, controlled and tiered environment based on the profile of the individual accessing the solution. This allows for the appropriate users to access different levels of functionality in the system according to the contract agreement and their allocated permissions. System Requirements Central Ordering is an internet based application and needs no specialised hardware or software requirements other than having internet access and a current W3C compliant browser, such as Internet Explorer. The benefits of this are that there are no software costs (or upgrade costs), no version release issues, no hardware costs and no platform integration or database compatibility issues. The only requirement is an internet browser, common today in the majority of organisations.
