5 IDS HIGH-LEIT a modular SCADA System The modular IDS HIGH-LEIT process control system accomplishes all primary tasks centrally. In addition to the general monitoring and operating functions, IDS HIGH-LEIT features transparent alerting and signalling strategies, extensive logging and archiving facilities and individually configurable reporting functions. Hardware From a hardware point of view the SCADA system ranges from a single operator unit to 4-server redundancy, thereby ensuring an optimal degree of reliability and availability and providing concepts that have become successfully established and have proven their worth in practice. Large-screen projection Based on our experience in a variety of large-scale projects, we can propose you advice on various types of large-screen projection for control rooms. Integration of higher-level systems GIS (Geographical Information System) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems can easily be linked to the IDS HIGH-LEIT via our ACOS X4 integration platform which supports all current interface standards. Leak detection For detecting and locating leaks in hazardous liquid pipelines, a software has been incorporated into the IDS HIGH-LEIT SCADA system that meets the latest requirements of the TRFL standard (German Technical Rules for Pipeline Systems) or American standard API 1130 for the leakage monitoring of static and transient pipeline operating states. The software is based on a dynamic pipeline model. What s more, an integrated Batch Tracking Module enables the tracking of batches in multi-product pipelines. The IDS Gas Forecast and Demand Optimisation software is based on the analysis of historical data. They are processed in various ways to enable the prediction of gas flow behaviour and to optimise gas offtakes. ACOS NMS is an in-house development. It has a modular structure and can be used in various configuration levels. ACOS NMS includes standardised modules for: Device management and asset management Cyclic and condition-based maintenance Trouble-call management and documentation Order and workforce management Company-wide integration of IT systems (ERP, GIS, SCADA,...) With this application, all pipeline-relevant data can be managed and documented via one platform. The bidirectional information flow between ACOS NMS and IDS HIGH-LEIT enables the automatic initiation of maintenance procedures, informing the SCADA operating staff about all maintenance activities in a comprehensive and transparent manner. Cathodic corrosion protection (CCP) IDS GmbH supplies the necessary local protection and measuring stations (ACOS CPS) to ensure cathodic corrosion protection (CCP) for your pipeline. These systems are available in different versions for various protective currents. Connections to central computers can be established using the small and cost-efficient telecontrol device ACOS 720, or via an existing telecontrol infrastructure. A wireless solution for connecting stations can be established using IDS TETRA or GPRS modems, which are implemented in the CCP measuring poles. The WinCCP management platform can be incorporated in the central control system for managing the CCP data. WinCCP enables the central analysis of CCP measuring data. All relevant information is managed centrally and documented in a form that fulfills official requirements. It assists you in analysing the condition of your pipeline network and supports the coordination of necessary maintenance activities.

7 Telecontrol and Automation IDS GmbH has numerous telecontrol systems with a wide variety of application profiles. The hybrid modular ACOS 750 station controller is an extremely attractive option for pipeline automation. It combines the telecontrol technology and station automation in one single device. The ACOS 750 supports all popular protocols: IEC /-103/-104 Modbus RTU/TCP NTP time synchronisation PPP connections SMS sending Profibus DP For data transmission via GPRS, TETRA, HF microwave, and HDSL, the IDS portfolio includes a wide range of products coupled with extensive experience in these fields. The I/O level is connected via a 100 Mbit EtherCAT bus and can be upgraded to up to 65,535 remote I/O modules. The station availability can be increased by using redundant power supplies. Engineering The engineering of the SCADA system as well as the configuration and parameterisation of the telecontrol systems can be performed by means of the configuration and parameterisation tool ACOS ET. Programming of the integrated PLC of ACOS 750 can be handled via CoDeSys V3 which is one of the most popular programming platforms for PLCs. The software is in accordance with the IEC requirements. Diagnosis and maintenance can be done remotely via Ethernet or locally via USB interface. The integration of third-party systems such as tank level measuring systems, bus-compatible drives, flow computers and/or frequency converters can be done quickly and user-friendly.
