1 Paris, 5 December 2017 PRESS RELEASE BNP Paribas International Hackathon: during Demo Day, 16 start-up presented their solutions for a state of the art customer experience On Friday 1 st December, 16 start-up from ten countries presented to a large audience their solutions to help further improve customer experience. This was the final step of the 3 rd edition of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon, and the projects are now to be implemented within the bank. BNP Paribas International Hackathon is the first-ever international hackathon with simultaneous sessions in 10 cities. The best 16 were declared winners of the BNP Paribas International Hackathon during the Demo Day in Paris. They will now continue their collaboration with BNP Paribas. The competition started in June with an International Hackathon weekend. In 10 cities all over the world, 160 start-up simultaneously. In Berlin, Brussels, Istanbul, Luxembourg, Nanjing, Paris, Rome, San Francisco, Singapore and Warsaw, start-up displayed great talent and creativity to develop their customer-focused projects, backed After this first round in June, 28 start-up were selected to develop and further validate their solutions along with the BNP Paribas local experts during a co-working phase. They are developing a unique Internet Robotic Cognitive Automation, enabling the automation of processes by simulating the behavior of a human worker manipulating an Internet browser or PDF documents, its differentiating factor being its ability to adapt to changes in the technical code of the documents. Business Potential category 4Paradigm (China) -with Bank of Nanjing 4Paradigm is a world-leading service provider of artificial intelligence, using proprietary machine learning products to help enterprises build the next International integration & scalability category Spidchain (Italy) - with BNP Paribas Wealth Management Spidchain improves privacy and portability for digital identity. Inspirient (Germany) -with Consorsbank Inspirient uses Artificial Intelligence to automate business analytics, end-toend, from raw data to presentation-ready management slides. Their replicable technology uses comprehensive probabilistic analysis methods with business common sense to automatically derive meaningful insights from diverse datasets for many use-cases. BaasBox offers the services, tools, and know-how needed to transform ideas into digital products. Baasbox proposes BNL Boon, a web app that allows the bank to provide the right service to the right client at the perfect moment of their life. Celestory (France) - with BNP Paribas French Retail Banking Celestory changes the digital training by creating training applications that are customized to each learner. Celestory enables to conceptualize the trainings in a smart manner and to propose them as customized Endeksa (Turkey) - with TEB BNP Paribas Endeksa is a real estate analytics and insights company, providing automated property valuation and Expert Valuations to all real estate stakeholders from consumers to realtors, appraisers to construction companies to help them make better decisions and increase efficiency. Mendua (Italy) - with BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions Mendua proposes an innovative leasing promotion by indicating a list of assets available online only through leasing in a dedicated market place and proposing leasing packages. The market place drives the assets which then drives the leasing. Saagie (USA) - with Bank of the West Saagie is the fastest way to deploy Big Data projects into production and to embed Artificial Intelligence into businesses. We provide a platform for Financial companies to extract and refine data, to build and run AI-based applications (customer on boarding, fraud detection, business process automation, deposit churn etc.), all in the most compliant and secured structure. Serious Factory (France) - with BNP Paribas Personal Finance Serious Factory is a leading company on the e-learning market: a tailor-made approach for elearning projects made with an agile methodology of conception and the development of its own authoring tool to democratise 3D simulations and Serious Games. Smartbeam (Belgium) - with BNP Paribas Fortis Smartbeam is developing a budget management platform that helps construction companies and real estate developers drastically increase project efficiency and collaboration from the pre-construction phase to the construction phase. Their cloud based web platform enables real time information flow and collaboration between BNP Paribas, real estate developers and contractors. Smovin (Belgium) - with BNP Paribas Weath Management Smovin is an online Real Estate Assistant that helps landlords to simplify the administrative and financial follow-up of his properties and tenants by standardizing and automating processes. They can follow-up payments, have automatic reminders for payments, indexation, management of charges and bail contracts. Spidchain (Italy) -with BNP Paribas Wealth Management Spidchain improves privacy and portability for digital identity.
