2 How to use this book The Fast Track Guide to Getting the Most out of TAM includes basic steps for the setup and operations of The Agency Manager system. The easy to use layout lets you read it cover to cover or skip directly to a specific task. Conventions used in this book Colored Triangles Each task is color coded for a particular area of the system: Purple=Accounting, Blue=Servicing, Green=System Administration (Utilities). The Orange section at the back of the book contains valuable appendices. The triangles work as bookends indicating the beginning and end of a task. Introduction Some tasks include a brief description which outlines the purpose of the task, as well as examples of when and why to use. Navigation The navigation section will guide you through the click steps from TAM s Home Base screen to the appointed area. Follow the navigation and then proceed to the Step by Step.
3 Step by Step The step-by-step instructions will guide you easily through each task. The red numbered steps () correspond to the callouts on each screen shot. Some tasks will also include red numbered steps with a clear background (). These steps are part of a sub-screen in the workflow or they are optional. Other colored steps (such as ) indicate a step in the process for which no screen shot is available. Colored Rectangles The rectangles indicate that the task continues on the next page. Tips, Notes, Bright Ideas, & Cross Reference Tools These boxes will further explain the tasks and offer creative ways of utilizing the TAM system. The See Also box will refer you to other tasks within the Fast Track Guide.
