UNIVERGE Solution Partner Program Guide

1 November 2017 Introduction UNIVERGE is NEC s IP unified communications architecture to unify and converge voice, data and applications on the enterprise network. Accommodating multiple devices and applications makes it possible for users to communicate remotely or under mobile environment from anywhere and address key business process needs. It is essential in the current business environment to support communication and collaboration over voice and video under seamless environment but at the same time high security and business continuity are required to realize robust enterprise networks. UNIVERGE Solution Partner program (USP program) is designed to build partnerships with potential business developers at a local, regional and global level to create additional services, applications and solutions for business users that enhance NEC s UNIVERGE offerings. Aim of program Not only ensuring technical interoperability but creating various solutions for customers by blending partner s Product (hardware, software and service) and UNIVERGE product together, thus raising the value of NEC and partner products through leveraging cooperative marketing programs. Joining the USP program gives partners valuable access to NEC s IP platform resources (Interface specs, SDK s, Development Support) from North and South America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

2 Requirement to be a partner Partner must be a corporate entity who has a wish to work with NEC to satisfy customer s demand, and who has a capability to complement NEC s product portfolio with their own product. The partner must have the necessary skills and expertise to perform the necessary development to integrate their products to NEC s. Partner registration Partner registration can be done at no cost in the partner registration page in USP program web site. Partner can login to partner s page upon receipt of NEC s approval using address and password applied during the registration. Entitlement to partner Free API/SDK download. Agreement to the Technology license agreement and NDA are required prior to download. Development support (charged service) Special price of UNIVERGE products for test and evaluation (see Compliance test to confirm interoperability with UNIVERGE product (see After successful completion of compliance test, Introduction of certified product in NEC s web site Notification to theater specific dealers with information on who to contact at partner company if interested in purchasing of partner s Product Use of logos specified in the program Invitation to NEC s seminar and event (Invitation basis, partly charged)

3 Obligation of partner Partner will shoulder full responsibility of partner s Product to users in terms of quality, support and maintenance. Partner must strictly observe the term of use in USP program which appears during partner registration. Version of specification and products Version of application interface (APIs) and UNIVERGE product may not exactly match due to time lag of product release in each region. Please check version number described in readme file attached to each SDK and API specifications. Technical support Technical support from development team in NEC or NEC Platform will be available by purchasing technical service at US$1,000 (or equivalent value in local currency) for 4 hours block. UNIVERGE product training with related SDK is also available at agreed cost. For further details please send your inquiry to us using our online inquiry form in Technical support page. Compliance test Interoperability certificate will be given to partner through compliance test of UNIVERGE product and partner s Product. NEC s compliance test will be available at the specified laboratory. (see Compliance test certifies the interoperability of specified functions under specified versions only. NEC is not responsible for the quality or operation of partner s Product. Partners will be encouraged to re-certify on a regular basis as newer versions of NEC products become available.

4 Logo usage Partner may use following logos under UNIVERGE logo guideline (see basic guidelines for UNIVERGE Solution Partner logo mark). Partner can download UNIVERGE PARTNER logo from USP program site upon receipt of partner s ID and password from NEC after approval. Partner may use this logo in its own web site. Use of other media or material must be approved by NEC USP program team. Partner can get UNIVERGE CERTIFIED logo from USP Team in their local region upon receipt of certificate from NEC after Compliance Testing. (see Sales of Partner s Product by NEC Sales agreement shall be required separately when NEC or NEC s group company desire to sell partner s Product. NEC may request alliance partnership to partners who show outstanding performance and strongly complement NEC s product portfolio and sales. Cancellation of partnership Partner will lose partnership to NEC in case of any of the following: Partner desires cancellation of partnership and NEC accepts it. False declaration by partner. Continued sales of UNIVERGE certified product of which version is different from certificate without consent of NEC. Unpaid of fees specified in the program over 30 days. Any obstruction or defamation to USP program by the partner. Failure of partner to perform compliance testing within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the local theater within which the partner is participating. Partner ceased the sales of partner s Product.
