4 The Challenge Arm & Hammer is responsible for actively selling, marketing and publicizing its products across the US, UK, Australia and various other regions. A multitude of information was streaming in everyday from all these regions making it difficult for the client to maintain a central repository in their traditional IT infrastructure system. They were a facing challenge in data extraction, data transformation and data loading. Sorting of these data through various tools like SQL and SAP, data sets and spreadsheets was slowing down the growth and the success of the organization. The generation of the gross sales report in these traditional systems was not possible as the data was unstructured. The challenge for the organization was to identify how to make spending more efficient as well as predict and detect loopholes in the gross sales as quickly as possible. The data required to gain the necessary insights from various sources located in different regions. The client approached KCS to help them in the following challenges: Help them build a customized platform To describe the technical design of igdw and address the detailed business drivers, context and requirements for the gross sales. 04

6 Our Solution Arm & Hammer wanted an on-premises solution for their sales reporting structure as well as the flexibility to move their entire data to the cloud for faster processing time. A modern enterprise needs a modern set of analytics supporting big data and everything else and gain business insights and enhance business initiatives. KCS provided a simple yet intuitive and a collaborative way to Arm & Hammer in order to solve their everyday business problems. Our solution included a suite of business analytics tool Power BI that delivers insights throughout the organization. The Power BI is a cloud-based analytics service that gives a single and more comprehensive view of most of the business-critical data. It helps client generate rich iterative as well as precisely formatted reports, visually explore huge data and quickly discover patterns to make better faster decisions. Generating accurate reports on Power Bi is simple like never before. Simply create a report, publish to Power BI report server and distribute and consume across the devices. The platform enabled real-time sales forecasting as well as sales budgeting, sales strategy in alignment with various marketing plans. It helped clients reduce the overall man-hours consumed to analyse the huge unstructured data. Also, the platform was user-friendly enabling Arm & Hammer set a new benchmark and analytic parameters as per their weekly changing needs. They could quickly generate BI gross sales reports in 15 minutes based on consumer behaviours, product sales, and brand popularity. 10
