5 Absoft s Self-Service Procurement Solution in SAP enables users to manage the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process directly in SAP, on an improved user interface using SAPUI5 applications. These applications are designed to provide an intuitive, easy to use front-end to SAP. Areas currently covered by the Self-Service Procurement Solution include: Internal catalogue management Creation of shopping carts Approvals Receiving goods and/or services The apps can be deployed on desktop, mobile and tablet devices, meaning the Procure-to-Pay process can now be completed outwith the usual office environment, giving users the ability to request and approve items on the go. 6 The Internal Catalogue Management Application allows the organisation, typically the procurement community, to view and maintain its internal supplier catalogues. This supports both: Updating the information directly in the application Uploading excel files that store vendor/product information The Shopping Cart Application enables the shopper to create requests for goods and/or services in SAP, using an intuitive clean user interface. This takes the user step-by-step through the shopping process. Shoppers are able to create the shopping cart by: Submitting free text requests Using internal or external catalogues Creating requests using approved vendors or one time vendors (if required) The Approval Application allows the approver to either approve or reject shopping carts. At the point of decision, the approver is given: Visibility of the full shopping cart information (vendor, product/service, date, address, price, etc) Access to budget information (status, commitments, remaining) The ability to view or add attachments and comments The Receiving Application allows the receiver to accept goods or services, on either desktop, tablet or mobile devices. The receiver is typically the shopper, however, the application caters for any employee within the business to be nominated to receive the good or service. At this point, the receiver can upload documents to support the receipt (delivery note, image etc). P5
