Mojix Secure and Safe Event Experience is based on the ViZix IoT Platform Solution and Mojix STAR Technology B eginning with a stylish and triumphant opening ceremony in Baku, Azerbaijan, over 250 thousand people attended the 1st European Games over a two-week period in June Six thousand athletes from 50 countries competed in 20 events, with the host country taking top honors for medals won on a per-capita basis. The Mojix STAR sensor network combined with the ViZix IoT solution provided Main Development the ideal platform for event management by keeping track of tens of thousands of attendees while providing visibility of their location at all the main venues. The system assured safety and security for all visitors and event personnel over the course of three weeks. Kazem Askari, President of Main Development Needed: unobtrusive, real-time visibility and actionable information The organizers of the games faced many challenges to ensure the comfort, safety and security of attendees and athletes. With over 250 thousand people from as many as 100 countries attending, security personnel needed a discreet, unobtrusive system that gave them realtime, actionable information while ensuring attendee privacy. Working with partner Main Development, Mojix supplied a key element of the security system that enabled event managers located in a central control area to monitor attendance, locate individual attendees to a specific zone and view video feeds from that zone. Equipped with a user-configurable rules engine and big-data time-series analysis capability, the system provided actionable information for security personnel at the three main venues, the Olympic Stadium, the National Gymnastics Arena and the Crystal Hall Arena. 3 Based on the ViZix IoT platform, the Mojix Secure and Safe Event Experience gave European Games management both high-level visibility across three massive venues and the ability to focus on selected zones from a central control room. The system integrated RFID tracking technology, a state-of-the-art Internet-of-Things (IoT) software platform and video. To protect attendee privacy, the system identified attendees by serial number with restricted access to identifying information. Based on the ViZix Business Intelligence Platform ViZix is business intelligence software platform that enables rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) Wireless Sensor Networks solutions. Using ViZix, the Main Development and Mojix professional services teams were able to implement a system to exploit the data stream from a vast RFID reader network consisting of over 1,400 RFID antennas. Data streaming from these readers was collected, filtered and routed through a configurable, time-series rules engine before being stored in a database for later access. Secure and Safe Event Experience Capabilities Capture information at self-service registration kiosks Monitor attendance levels by zone Know what zone a specific attendee is in, and replay previous movements Set rules to alarm on patterns and events such as unauthorized access to VIP areas View the CCTV feed where an attendee is located Retrieve information on a given attendee (restricted access to protect privacy) Reconfigure rules, zones and other system functionality quickly and easily ViZix architecture enables powerful, real-time, big-data visualization CASE HISTORY - 3/7

User-configurability enables rapid optimization, enabling both users and partners The system allowed rules to be established to alert on anomalous events such as unauthorized access to VIP areas, or identification of persons-of-interest. Because the system is user-configurable, it was easy to update or add to rules after initial implementation without additional code development. This capability enables both users and Mojix partners to evolve the functionality of the system as they gain experience with its application, adding value without the time and expense of additional code development. The rules engine not only enables automatic recognition of anomalies, but provides for alerts such as color-coding of attendee markers to indicate the need for further investigation. Users can click on a marker to get a report on the holder of the ticket in question. Reports are configurable by users without additional code development, enabling rapid optimization of functionality as users develop new requirements with use. Visitor experience is quick, easy and secure Visitors to the games quickly register at self-service, RFID-enabled CASE HISTORY - 4/7

The kiosk takes a photo and scans the passport, extracting identification information via optical character recognition. At the same time the user s RFID-enabled ticket is programmed with a serial number. The identification information and serial number are stored in the system database. Visitors use the tickets to enter venues, patronize concessions and while taking seats for events. Identified by number, not name, in the system, users privacy is protected by ensuring strict access controls to the database. Mojix Wide-Area RFID with distributed excitation enables RFID at scale The Mojix STAR 3000 wide-area RFID system was a key element of the solution, both in terms of technology and economics. Built on deepspace communication technology designed to detect very weak radio signals, the EPC Gen 2-compliant Mojix STAR 3000 can read the signal CASE HISTORY - 5/7

The Mojix STAR 3000 RFID receiver reads tags from several hundred feet from an excited passive RFID tag as far as 600 feet, or 182 meters away which is 20 times the range of traditional systems. 5.- Over 1,400 RFID reader antennas read RFID tags at key locations and zones 6.- Mojix STAR 3000 RFID receiver mounted above the Olympic Stadium in Baku, Azerbaijan 5 6 Elements of the Mojix Secure and Safe Event Solution ViZix connected business intelligence platform Mojix STAR 3000 wide-area RFID system Traditional 4-port readers and standard patch antennas RFID kiosk designed by Main Development CASE HISTORY - 6/7

This unprecedented range, coupled with the low cost Mojix enode exciters and advanced location algorithms, translates into the ability to accomplish something new wide area visibility with low-cost passive tags instead of the previously required and substantially more expensive active tags. Success at the 1st European Games The 1st European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan made an important contribution to harmony in Europe by demonstrating how citizens of up to one hundred countries can come together to celebrate sport.
