TIMESHEET IMPROVEMENTS Timesheet Entry Overtime Hours Total at the Bottom of the Timesheet Entry Screen If you have overtime enabled against your Login Profile, a new overtime total row will appear at the bottom of your timesheet. The existing total row label will change from Total to Standard and will only include standard (non-overtime) hours. The total row label will remain as Total if overtime is not enabled. Clone a Timesheet Row All timesheet users will be able to clone a timesheet row on their timesheet. The clone feature will copy the Project, Activity and any other fields apart from the hours and notes to a new row. KeyedIn Projects Version Release Brief 1 of 8

2 Tooltips on Timesheet Entry To minimise the risk of entering time against the wrong project, a tooltip will be available on the Project field that will show the code of the project if entering time by project name. If entering time by project code, the name of the project will be displayed in a tooltip. Suppress Assignment Time Entry option on the My Assignments Widget The ability to enter time on the My Assignments widget can be suppressed with the introduction of a new Login Profile setting called Ability to enter time on the My Assignments widget. This setting will be ticked by default to preserve existing behaviour. This feature is intended for customers with complex timesheet entry requirements around custom fields that are not supported on the My Assignments widget. Timesheet Approvals Ability to Approve Time from a Timesheet Databox Timesheet approvers will be able to approve time from the Timesheet Databox drill through screen on the My Projects and My Work views. The standard approval buttons will now appear on the drill through screen if the user has the ability to approve time. KeyedIn Projects Version Release Brief 2 of 8

3 Make the Approval Reference Field Mandatory when Approving Timesheets The approval reference field can be configured as a required field when approving time through the web product. Currently, the user code of the approver is placed in the approval reference field by default but approvers can clear the contents of this field. A new system setting will be available on the General Settings screen called Approval Reference is mandatory that will prevent approval without a reference being specified. This setting will be switched off by default to preserve existing behaviour. Timesheet Submissions Provide a Breakdown of Status of Hours Contained in a Timesheet Submission The ability to view the breakdown of hours in each timesheet submission will be available on the My Work Approvals view for Timesheet Submissions and on the Timesheet Submission Search screen. The following new columns will be available from the column chooser: Standard Hours Overtime Hours Absence Hours Not Approved Hours Approved hours Unapproved Hours Disapproved Hours The ability to drill into the timesheet details will be provided for each of the new columns. Timesheet Search Search on the Resource Active Flag and Belonging to Project field on the Timesheet Search The ability to search on the following fields will be available on the Timesheet Search: Resource Active Belonging to Project KeyedIn Projects Version Release Brief 3 of 8

4 EXPENSE IMPROVEMENTS Expense Claims Ability to Select More than 20 Expense Items into a Claim on the Expenses Screen The ability to claim all expenses for a search filter will be available on the application Expense screen. A new option has been added to the existing Claim button called Claim All Pages. Selecting this option will claim all expenses across all pages returned by the search filter. Expense Ability to Bulk Delete Expenses Expenses can be deleted in bulk on the Expense screens. Only one page can be deleted at a time. KeyedIn Projects Version Release Brief 4 of 8

5 RESOURCING IMPROVEMENTS Requests Screen Ability to Hide Requests The ability to hide requests on the Resourcing Requests screen will be available in v This will allow Resource Managers to remove requests that have been satisfied but may have some remaining demand or over-supply. This feature can be enabled by ticking the Enable Request Hiding setting on the Strategic Planning Settings screen. Resource Managers will then be able to hide an individual request to remove it from the current view. A new filter option will be available to Show Hidden Requests to allow hidden requests to be viewed and have their hidden flag removed. Once a request has been hidden, it will be hidden for all users. If a new version of a forecast is approved, all associated requests will be made visible again. Display an Indicator that Comments have been entered against a Demand Line If it currently very difficult for a Resource Manager to see if there s been any posts made by the Project Manager against a demand line. They have to select the view posts option to see if any have been made. In v6.2.6, the indicator will be displayed against any demand lines that have posts against them. The Resource Manager can click on the indicator to view the posts. The indicator will be displayed if there are no posts against a demand line. They can click on the indicator to add new posts. 6 Resource Plan Show Productive Capacity on the Resource Plan The ability to show Productive Capacity on the Resource Plan will be available in v If Productive Capacity is enabled on the Strategic Planning Settings screen, a new option will be available from the Show dropdown. This option will only be available if the Resource Plan is running in Strategic mode against the user s Login Group. Totalling Row on the Resource Plan A new total row will appear at the bottom of the Resource Plan and will show a totals based on the selection made on the Show option (Allocated, Availability, Utilization, Capacity or Productive Capacity). Adding Assignments Default Resource when Adding Assignments When adding assignments from the global add menu, Resource Plan or the Assignment Search, the Resource Name will now default to the person creating the assignment. 7 Assignment Search Reassign Role Assignments to a Different Role The ability to change the Role against a set of existing Role Assignments will be available in v The existing Reassign Assignments to Resource feature on the Assignment Search has been extended to allow Assignments to be changed to a Role. The button has been changed to Reassign and when selected, will allow a Role to be selected rather than just a Resource. OTHER IMPROVEMENTS Dashboards Increase Dashboard Limit from 5 to 10 The limit on the number of dashboards for each user will be increased from 5 to 10 Deliverables Default Publish Level when Creating Deliverables against a Level 1 Project The ability set a default publish level when creating Deliverables against a level 1 project will be available in v A new setting has been added to the Login Profile Strategic Planning tab called Default Publish Level (Level 1 Projects). This setting will default to the lowest project level. Documents Expose the System Documents Tab at Higher Levels of the hierarchy in My Projects Currently the system Documents tab is only available for level 1 Projects on the My Projects screen. V6.2.6 will include the ability for it to appear for Projects above level 1. A new setting called Show Documents above level 1 will be available against a Login Group. Ticking this option will make the Documents tab appear for projects above level 1. This setting will be un-ticked by default to preserve existing behaviour. Project Search Filter on Department Belongs to The ability to filter on Department Belongs to will be available on the Project Search screen. KeyedIn Projects Version Release Brief 7 of 8

8 Portfolio Analysis Only Show Roles with Demand on Scenario Capacity Currently within Portfolio Analysis the list of Roles displayed on the Capacity Tab when analysing a Scenario displays all the Roles in the system regardless of whether there is any Demand for those Roles within the Portfolio Forecasts. This can make the screen look busy and hard to separate out the roles that need to be focused on. V6.2.6 will include the ability to only show Roles with demand. A new option called Show Roles with Demand has been added to the filter panel on the Capacity tab.
