4 04 TAS GROUP Card 3.0 The Next Big Thing in Card Management Card 3.0 is the first step of TAS ultimate CASHLESS 3.0 products roadmap and covers the Issuing domain. Card 3.0 is the solution engineered by TAS for designing and managing new payment products. The new solution maintains a strong focus on EMV card management but is no longer a card centric monolithic application and allows to manage on a single platform customers portfolios in different countries. The architectural design is based on state of the art technologies and a strong predisposition towards the end-user that must be able to easily create and manage new products. Card 3.0 introduces an original approach that enables Issuers to focus on Applications rather than worrying about potential constraints of the physical support and the underlying technologies. DESIGNING AND MANAGING NEW PAYMENT PRODUCTS IS MUCH EASIER Marketing and Business people within a Financial Institution have to face a very competitive marketplace and a fast growing request for new targeted products. Time-to-market in this context is a critical success factor and Card 3.0 enables the creation of new and customized products in just a few clicks. Along with traditional payment cards, that usually carry a National application beside an International brand, in recent years more and more new products have appeared based on: prepaid and credit co-branded cards, payment applications on mobile SIM cards, digital wallets, prepaid cards with value added services. Most of these products are offered in bundles (e.g. Mobile SIM + prepaid card) or in collaboration with third parties. Card 3.0 leverages TAS multi-year experience in designing prepaid and multi-application card products for the largest Financial Institutions in Italy, enabling Issuers to significantly reduce time-to-market and issuing costs of multi-application payment products through the new Designer component that supports the user in translating business and technical requirements into a new offering in a complete autonomy. Moreover, Card 3.0 maintains the functional core coverage of the current TAS Card Management System with the difference that all components are now a pluggable and self-configurable cloud of services, and information and functions can be consistently accessed from multiple channels. Card 3.0 uses last generation RDBMS providing fast and efficient Business Analytics features. Data Mining, Social Network Analysis, Artificial Neural Network are integrated in the system to enable detailed investigations of customer behavior. These features are very useful for designing fraud prevention patterns and develop marketing oriented tailored made propositions. Designed as an elastic, pluggable and self-configurable cloud of interoperating services, Card 3.0 allows maximum configurability of: profiles and permissions external services localization requirements graphic user interface

5 05 TAS GROUP It operates as a multi-currency, multi-language, multi-product and multi-issuer system and supports simple integration with Behavioral scoring, Fraud detection and CRM systems. FEATURES AND MODULES Interfaces System Legacy System Customer DB Accounts Internet Banking Fraud Management Loyalty Key Management Authorisation System Mobile platform CARD 3.0 Designer Sales Production Stock management Post-sales and lifecycle managemnet Channel Management Web Portals External Interfaces Channels WEB ATMs and Kiosks Mobile Web Portals End Customers: Corporates Cardholders Issuer Admin: Central/BankOffice Branches Call Centers Issuer Mkt/Business DESIGNER Module This module guides the Issuer through the process of defining all the characteristics of the new payment product to be issued. It allows to assign certain configurations to different user profiles within the organization. For instance top decisions can be made at a business level, whereas bottom level payment application parameters will be defined by specialized users. Product characteristics are grouped in the following main categories: Payment application/s to be included in the Product Value added services (e.g. transportation, authentication, loyalty) Physical support/s (e.g. cards, Mobile SIM cards, dongles) Type of payment product (e.g. debit, credit, prepaid, digital wallet) Other services linked to the product (e.g. SMS Alert, Authentication services, etc.) Integrity rules are built-in in order to avoid the risk of inconsistent product design. The extreme configurability offered by the large number of parameters managed by this component enables the Issuer to act autonomously in the creation of new products, without the need of ad hoc sw developments.

6 06 TAS GROUP Sales Module This module covers all functions normally involved in the sales process. These include registration and alignment with the customer database, eligibility checks and integration with branch front-office applications. The sales process is guided and the front-office user is provided with real time information on stock availability of the different products, recommended product propositions and active campaigns for the targeted customer. Process-Control System The Process-Control System (PCS) manages and monitors the entire production process of all payment instruments that are being issued. A PCS Monitor provides real-time information on the status of each card to be delivered to the end-customer. This enables the Issuer s back office to keep track of all elaborations in progress, of the status of files sent to personalization bureaus and of the production and mailing of cards and PIN codes to single customers. This module integrates seamlessly with the EMV data preparation solution supplied by TAS product: emission. Stock Management Module Card 3.0 provides an advanced Stock Management module enabling the Issuer to automatically replenish stock levels based on sales progress. The Stock Management module manages stocks of any device sold or distributed by the Issuer like payment cards and relative PIN mailers, PCRs or tokens for e-banking, tickets, etc. The advanced system enables Issuers to sell prepaid cards directly at branches, maintaining a certain stock of cards and PIN codes mailers in store. Cards and PIN code mailers are linked by the system only upon sale, avoiding risks of illicit usage. Stock levels and minimum order amounts are parameters defined during configuration. When sales reduce stock levels below a certain threshold the system automatically generates a card order request to trigger card and PIN production. Post Sales And Lifecycle Management Module Post Sales and Lifecycle management include all activities that can be carried out on payment products after they have been issued. These activities can also be delivered on mobile devices, home-banking websites besides front-office applications as Card 3.0 supports multi-channel interfaces. A lifecycle monitor enables the Institution to maintain control over the evolution of issued products. Since product profiles can be modified, additional applications can be loaded on a product after issuance, limits and other information associated to a card can be directly accessed and modified by cardholders, it is vital for the Issuer to keep track of all changes carried out on products. Therefore the lifecycle monitor stores information regarding all modifications occurring to issued instruments and provides a detailed view of the history of modifications to authorized users. Channel management module Card 3.0 leverages different channels to enable communication with internal users and with the products end-customers (e.g. cardholders). Standard communication is based on a web interface which can easily be white-labeled to meet the needs of the Issuer. Several specific functions offered by the solution however (e.g. change PIN) can be made available for instance also on additional channels, like ATMs. A complete mobile interface is also available to Issuer s users/operators and to end-customers where applicable.

7 07 TAS GROUP Web Portals Card 3.0 provides access portals designed for different types of users. The two main end-customer oriented portals are: Corporate portal It enables a corporate to perform activities on its set of corporate cards (request new set of cards, monitor employee s transactions, request temporary blocks, execute top-ups, etc). Cardholder portal It enables cardholder to restrict or modify its card spending characteristics (e.g geography, Merchant Category Codes, etc) Other portals provide access to appropriate functions to different authorized users within the Issuer Organisation: Administrative Personnel Central Department/ Back Office Operators of the Branches Call center operators Marketing/Business professionals External Interfaces Card 3.0 supplies each business component as a Web Service (SOAP and REST). Card 3.0 natively provides interfaces to the main information system components already adopted by the the Issuer and to other modules that are part of TAS offering.
