5 USING THE RIGHT PEOPLE Our Team MAYUR BATRA Group President Mayur Batra is a Managing Director of MB Group, Dubai. He is also President at Mayur Batra & Co., Chartered Accountants a thirteen year old Chartered Accountancy Firm head quartered in New Delhi and having offices at prominent Indian metropolitan cities and overseas presence in Dubai and Japan. Mayur Batra has around 18 years of experience in a range of areas including tax laws, accounting, foreign investment, foreign exchange control regulations and corporate laws of India. Prior to start of practicing of profession in 2002, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Corporate Office of one of the largest Japanese Trading House-Mitsui & Co., Limited located at New Delhi and headed their Finance, Accounting, Credit, Tax and Legal Departments. Mayur Batra also served as General Secretary for three years at the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, New Delhi, India. Mayur Batra is actively involved in advising corporate on inbound investments, cross border transactions, tax and regulatory matters relating to direct and indirect tax laws. In his role, he has advised many Companies on issues ranging from entry and exit strategy formulation, transaction structuring, business reorganizations, as well as insolvency related issues. Mayur Batra also has enriched experience & expertise in carrying several representation services before several Indian statutory bodies, agencies & Indian ministries. He has been actively involved in obtaining various statutory approvals, licenses from statutory agencies in India and abroad. Mayur Batra received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Delhi University in 1993 and completed his Chartered Accountancy Programme in He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant registered with the ICAI since He is also an Associate Cost and Works Accountant with the ICWAI since As your engagement partner, Mayur Batra will lead the service and be responsible for planning, coordination and delivery of our services.

STATUTORY REQUIREMENT - UAE FEDERAL LAW NO. (2) OF 2015 ( NEW LAW ) Accounting Records (Article 26) Every Company shall maintain accounting records showing its transactions to accurately reveal at any time the financial position of the company and enabling the partners or shareholders to confirm that the accounts of the company are properly kept in accordance with the provisions of this Law. Every company shall keep its accounting books in its head office for a period of at least 5 (five) years from the end of the financial year of the company. Failure to keep Accounting Records (Article 348) A fine of at least AED 50,000 (fifty thousand), but not more than AED 500,000 (five hundred thousand) shall be imposed on the company that fails to keep accounting records for the company to state its deals. Failure to keep Accounting Records for the Period as per Law (Article 349) A fine of at least AED 20,000 (twenty thousand), but not more than AED 100,000 (one hundred thousand) shall be imposed on the national or foreign company that fails to keep accounting records for the period determined in this Law.
