6 How We Work GFSI Technical Working Groups Composed of technical experts from: Retail Manufacturing Food Service Operators Service Providers Standard Owners Certification Bodies Accreditation Bodies Industry Associations Technical Working Groups deliver on specific mandates such as: Benchmarking Auditor Competence Regional Outreach Global Markets Programme Regulatory Affairs and many more. 6

7 How We Work GFSI Local Groups These groups work to implement global GFSI strategy at a local level. Today, six Local Groups have been formed. 7

9 Our Benchmarking Work GFSI Benchmarking Requirements The most widely accepted fundamental benchmarking requirements for food safety management schemes. Covers all scopes of the supply network, from farming and primary production to processing and storage and distribution. 9

14 Goals Going Forward Food Safety Scheme Benchmarking and Harmonisation Focusing on food safety scheme assurance and harmonisation Launching the GFSI Benchmarking Requirements V7 (Guidance Document) Benchmarking new and existing schemes to V7 Inserting the first stage of Program Integrity/Auditor Competence into V7 Engaging retailers to increase alignment with GFSI. 14
