Or is it measuring other things such as axle counts, etc? The VPS 30 measures height only. Questions and answers to submitted questions per RFP section 3 1. Does the toll system need to track payments by Gift Card? If not, is a gift card considered the same as cash? Does the toll system need to be supply gift cards or are they management by different system? Yes, the system needs to track gift cards payments. Gift cards are currently managed through a different system and are redeemed as gift card, not cash. 2. Must the bill accepter issue change in the form of coins or in the form of bills or is exact amount required? Change is provided in bills only; exact change is not needed. 3. 2 4. Does JIA have something in mind for rental car issue with annual pass? At this time, no, but alternatives may be presented. 5. Can JIA please explain generally foresee putting the cameras for the two locations (facing East and West) and what they are intended to capture? (E.g. all lanes, one lane, etc) Mounted on entrance plaza overhead structure, capturing all lanes. 6. Please describe JIA s current closing/end of day procedures. Credit cards and current day close at 1:00am. Multiple reports are manually printed, and daily deposit created based on provided data. 7. Are only daily passes available for advance purchase online? Currently only Daily and Weekly passes are available to purchase online. 8. Is any type of daily pass valid for same day re-entry? Currently, daily passes are valid for 24 hours and weekly passes are valid for 7 consecutive days. 9. We note that you want to use proximity cards and your current payment machine has a proximity reader. Please explain how these are managed on your back end system, if there is a fee involved, if it works like a RFID tag, is for daily, weekly, or annual pass, etc. What type pf Proximity cards are used?

3 Proximity cards are limited alternative annual pass option, which do have a fee. Card holder s information is collected, inputted into system and assigned to prox card. Cards are only used for specific situations. Identiv Proximity cards are used. 10. Does JIA currently have credit card server, CC merchant, provider, and/or gateway to be used? Yes, JIA currently has a credit card server and CC merchant for current system. Provider is Bank of American, who is flexible on which gateway is used. 11. Must remote access be cloud format? 12. Where are daily passes sold by hand? Is the sale entered into the system? During high traffic days/times, tickets are printed in bulk and sold by hand at the gate entrance. All sales are entered into system. 13. Are there any ticket requirements, paper size, thickness, etc? 14. Does a person/family have to purchase multiple annual passes, one for each vehicle? Yes, annual passes are vehicle specific.

4 15. Is license plate reader expected for just a camera angled to capture video or the license plate? License plate reader (section 3.3) is optional. 16. Is JIA willing to change to a RFID tag format for annual passes to alternative sticker tag moving forward in newly installed system? 17. Will JIA handle daily maintenance of pay machines, along with onsite replacement and repairs with remote support from new system provider? JIA will handle routine maintenance including receipt paper replacement, bill validators, revenue boxes, money cassette changes, credit card readers, exterior cleaning and replacing gate arms. 18. What is the current network infrastructure in place for supporting the newly proposed system? AT&T fiberoptic cables. 19. Is there a room with a controlled temperature climate for placement of networking and computer rack equipment? 20. Is there an exit lane with a booth to track the pass type upon exit? There is an exit lane with booth, but no method of tracking pass type at this time. 21. What size of the Hi-Def/LED sign is required?

Are proposers required to provide bid/performance/payment bond as part of this contract? 24. We noticed that passes can already be bought online. Would JIA like to keep 2rd party option with new system, or are proposers required to develop a brand-new website? JIA would like a new option, rather than using a 3 rd party. 25. Please confirm the software system currenting in use and year of installation.
