2 FIRE-PROTECTED Surface Finishes on any timber up to Group 1-S AND FIRE-RATED Structural Steel Members FOR 30, 60 & 90 mins A couple of minutes. That s the difference between a fire that causes serious damage and one that causes a catastrophic loss of life. These precious minutes are what drive us. By preventing fire from starting or spreading, our easy-to-install fire protection systems help save lives, buildings and items of value. With a complete range of passive fire products for the protection of timber, steel and concrete structures, as well as fire-stopping and gap-sealing, we are proud to bring our customers in Australia and New Zealand products from Scandinavia s top manufacturer, who has been a market-leader in this field for more than 25 years. Manufactured in Sweden under ISO14001, ISO9001 and a range of European green building certification schemes, our products have been assessed and certified for Declare status under the Living Building Challenge scheme. We are part of the Living Future Declare system, an ingredient status program for building products. Our products are one of very few approved intumescent coatings. A Declare label answers three questions: Where does a product come from? What is it made of? Where does it go at the end of its life? This transparent platform and product database is changing the materials marketplace. Being Red List Free means our products are free of the most harmful environmental pollutants and toxins that are so prevalent in the building industry. For architects, designers and contractors, it makes the tiring materials specification process so much easier, providing a free resource to help make greener product selections for every project.

3 INTERNAL STRUCTURAL STEEL Fireshield ArchitecturalWhite 4FR can be used on internal steel structural members, such as columns and beams, to achieve a 30, 60 or 90-minute fire rating. An approved topcoat can be applied over this product to achieve a coloured finish. PAGE 6 PAGE 8 INTERNAL PLASTERBOARD Fireshield ArchitecturalWhite 4FR is approved for non-fire-rated walls that are lined with plasterboard to achieve a 30/30/30 FRR. PAGE 4 PAGE 4 NATURAL TIMBER WALL AND CEILING LININGS Fireshield TimberClear 1FR maintains the natural look of timber with a clear finish, achieving up to a maximum Group 1-S rating on internal timber linings to comply with NZBC. PAGE 6 APPLICATIONS EXTERNAL TIMBER CLADDING When applied with Resene primer and topcoats, Fireshield TimberWhite 2FR is New Zealand s only approved paint system for exterior timber to mitigate fire spread. INTERNAL STRUCTURAL TIMBER Our products can be used to reduce char rates to internal structural timber. Please contact us for a specific recommendation and compliance paperwork. 5 BENEFITS n Achieve Group 1-S surface rating on any timber substrate n Clear finish n Water-based intumescent coat n Halogen-free system n Cost-effective two-coat system AIRLESS SPRAY ROLLER/BRUSH HALOGEN FREE Application Fireshield TimberClear 1FR is an intumescent clear coating that foams into a thick layer when exposed to high temperatures derived from flames or intensive heat radiation from fire. The porous layer of foam effectively extinguishes the flow of heat to the treated surface. TimberClear 1FR is always used in conjunction with Fireshield TOPcoat 1FR. If a colour is required on the timber substrate, you can stain it with an approved water-based product, like Resene Colorwood, before the application of Fireshield TimberClear 1FR. For best results, Fireshield TimberClear 1FR should be sprayed onto the timber substrate, however it can be brushed or rolled on to small or linea substrates, provided product viscosity and application conditions can be met. OTHER USES Structural TIMBER coating exposed timber members in TimberClear 1FR helps reduce timber char rates. Contact us for more details. SPECIFICATION Fireshield TimberClear 1FR is available exclusively through Resene New Zealand. AIRLESS SPRAY ROLLER/BRUSH HALOGEN FREE Application Fireshield ArchitecturalWhite 4FR is used to protect new or existing structural steel members from fire by insulating the steel surface from fire. It achieves a fire resistance rating of 30 to 90 minutes. Traditional solvent-based intumescent coatings can irritate construction workers and occupants, representing a health hazard. ArchitecturalWhite 4FR is water-based, so such issues do not arise. Please contact us so we can calculate the amount of coating each steel member requires for your project to achieve compliance. For best results, FIRESHIELD ArchitecturalWhite 4FR should be applied with a commercial paint sprayer, however it can be brushed or rolled on. Our Applicator Instructions detail the finishes achievable with the various application methods. OTHER USES Structural TIMBER reduces char rates PLASTERBOARD WALLS achieve 30/30/30min fire rating.
