3 Efficient melting, pumping, metering The requirements on melting, feeding and metering of thermoplastic adhesives are as varied as the applications. We meet this challenge professionally: with the Jumbo & Premelt series. Tank sizes of 55, 80 or 160 litres and the freedom to select between several sizes of gear pumps based on different drive concepts enable customized solutions. The tank units matched to the task in question fill simple roller application systems or meter the adhesive into highly precise slot-type nozzles. The melting tank is filled manually with blocks, or automatically with the adhesive in granular form or premelted in a drumunloader or extruder. We ensure that the method suits your production concept ideally. The units of the Jumbo & Premelt series lend themselves perfectly to the processing of EVA, PSA and other non-reactive thermoplastics in the medium viscosity range. The precise closed loop temperature control together with the (manual or automatic) temperature reduction ensure stable viscosity circumstances and prevent the adhesive from burning.
