2 REHAU S premium window profiles allow for a variety of window styles. This, combined with EliteTec s proven reliability, makes it the profile of choice for residential and industrial new builds and retro-fit projects. REHAU offers an energy saving, low maintenance and sound dampening profile. It is available in white or in foiled Golden Oak on a caramel base with either single or double glazing. FABRICATION OF UPVC PROFILES The fabrication of upvc windows and doors differs from that of other window products in that: Galvanized steel reinforcing is inserted into the profile The corners are fusion welded, no glue or screw joints. The welded corners are cleaned of excess welding material

9 NEW LEGISLATION FOR RSA-ENERGY EFFICIENCY SANS 204 This was initially conceptualized years ago and deals with energy savings on a broad scale, i.e. Industrial, Commercial and Residential SANS XA This is a refinement of SANS 204 and deals with specific energy saving criteria. Will become effective in 2011 / 2012 (Has OFFICIALLY BECAME LAW ON THE 1 st JUNE 2012)
