3 FACT SHEET Park Avenue West Tower Job Impact - 2,800 jobs will be created Associated General Contractors (AGC)'s of America states: "For every $10 million in construction, nearly 160 total jobs are created, including jobs in supplier and related businesses." At a construction cost of $180M, this equates to 2,880 jobs. Community Involvement Local Vendors Living Wage Construction Project Attached is a list of local vendors affiliated with Park Avenue West. There are 13 local Portland companies, representing at least 1,000 people, who will be working on the project. All revenues/wages will go to locally owned businesses. The trades unions are in staunch support of this project. Environmental Responsibility at Park Avenue West Tower Park Avenue West Tower has been pre- certified LEED Platinum by the U. S. Green Building Council. In fact, Park Avenue West Tower surpassed the requirements for the Platinum designation by 12%, making it the most environmentally sound building in the State. As such, Park Avenue West Tower will realize all of the benefits associated with a LEED Platinum certified building, including the following: Reduced Operating Expenses 32% Reduction in Energy Costs Potable water reduced 40% Portland s first 30,000 gallon Rain Harvesting Tank Improved Employee Retention Enhanced Productivity Increased Morale Efficiency of Floor Plates and Space Utilization Park Avenue West Tower has uniquely efficient floor plates that translate to cost savings for tenants, yielding a 10% efficiency factor over competitive office buildings in the Market.
