2 There are two ways to design a machine. One approach is to strap your customers boots on and build something you assume they need. The other way is to let your customers wear their own boots as they tell you what s really needed in the field. At Vermeer, we let our customers do the talking. Then, we build a machine that solves real problems. Before we set out to design the BPX9000, we listened closely to what our customers wanted and needed in a bale processor. And we kept hearing the same things. BPX9000 BALE PROCESSOR Simplicity. A bale processor that s easier to load, operate and maintain, and can process bales smoothly and consistently. Durability. A bale processor that s robust, heavy-duty and reliable, and is designed to maximize production. Versatility. A bale processor that can process round and large square bales of varying qualities, distribute it where and how you want it, and is easier to transport between jobs. Indeed, the BPX9000 is designed to meet the real needs of our customers. It enhances productivity and ease of operation. Operators can distribute consistent, uniform ribbons, hit tight spots along the bunk line or spread bedding evenly and consistently. And it requires less maintenance time. No more pulling the whole bed apart or spending hours cutting at net or twine wrapped around the rotor. The BPX9000 bale processor was designed and built from the ground up at our manufacturing facilities in Pella, Iowa. More importantly, it s built to be what you need it to be. Simple. Durable. Versatile. 1 1 Process large square bales with an optional square bale kit. Offset loader forks position the bale to the right hand side of the processor, and the moveable wall repositions so you can process large square bales. Now your round bale processor has enough control to process large square bales evenly and consistently as well BALE PROCESSORS

3 SELF-CLEANING POSITION MANUAL CLEANING POSITION 3 ROTOR Cutting twine off of the rotor has been among the most hated jobs until now. The exclusive cut control bars and virtually self-cleaning rotor reduce excessive net and twine on the drum. Or, you can alter the adjustable close clearance slug bar to clean manually and minimize the amount of net or twine mixed in the feed. 2 4 A vertical bale lift system makes it quicker and easier to lift bales and reduces stress on the machine. Plus, the robust T-style tongue frame has no welds or gussets at high stress points, increasing strength and preventing cracks. The frame is bolted high on the tub for enhanced durability. 2 The slat and chain bale rotation design feeds bales consistently into the rotor reducing the need to reverse rotation. Heavy-duty sprockets and chains ensure even misshaped bales are processed smoothly. Long-lasting bushings replace ball bearings (from previous Vermeer processors) that can get damaged when net or twine wrap around them. Split shafts let you perform maintenance without removing the entire bed. 5 See the process in action right from your cab. A low front screen provides improved visibility into the tub so you can look into the machine as it s processing. 6 A unique offset rotor rotates and pulls material through for more consistent feeding and prevents uncontrolled fall-through from slowing down the machine. Process whole bales of varying shapes (with optional square bale kit) and qualities to produce uniform ribbons, hit tight spots along the bunk line or spread evenly up to 40' (12.2 m) for bedding BALE PROCESSORS 3

4 The new Catapult TM CPX9000 bale processor gives operators the ability to process and distribute forage materials smoothly, consistently and accurately at long distances, making it ideal for multiple applications. CPX9000 BALE PROCESSOR This machine has the power to throw forage material up to 100 feet (30 m) in order to get up and over feed bunks in a cattle operation or for land reclamation and erosion control purposes. It also has the versatility to process round or square bales, adjust distances (from ' [18-30 m] ) and control how the spout is angled and how the crop is distributed. What s more is that the enhanced performance and ease of use of an automatic bale feed system provides smooth material feeding with limited operator assistance. It s clear that the new Catapult CPX9000 bale processor offers a higher standard in power, versatility and ease of operation. Plus, the simplicity, durability and ease of maintenance operators have come to expect from Vermeer The automatic bale feed system optimizes productivity and provides smooth material feeding through automatic slow down or speed up to maintain a consistent operating PTO RPM. All this happens without the operator needing to manage the feeding system BALE PROCESSORS

5 Replaceable, abrasive resistant steel liner Direct feed from a dual fan air circulation system provides consistent material flow from the tub to the spout, reducing inconsistent material flow common with non-direct feed systems. 3 Replaceable, abrasive resistant steel liners provide durability, especially needed when processing contamination-filled material like cornstalks. 4 Hydraulic controls give operators the ability to choose how the spout is angled and how the crop is distributed. 5 5 Optional hydraulic cut control bar kit lets operators make adjustments from the tractor cab. Use the hydraulically controlled adjustment alone or in conjunction with the reversible slat and chain bed bale rotation to help mitigate tough processing conditions BALE PROCESSORS 5
