10 Construction Construction Overview Limits of Activity: Majority of construction activities are contained onsite, with the exception of a few utility tie-ins that will take place along Stewart Street and Centinela Avenue Field Office: Contractor will utilize an existing building for an onsite field office Site Access and Parking: Construction staff will access the site off of Stewart Street and exit onto Centinela Avenue, and employees will park onsite Haul Routes: Haul routes will use major thoroughfares (Centinela, Olympic, Stewart) as opposed to residential streets Construction Work Hours: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday (if necessary)

11 Mitigation Measures Construction Mitigation Plans Noise Mitigation Monitor existing ambient noise Implement site specific noise control plans Manage noise generating activities and minimize equipment noise Implement mitigation measures if noise produced by construction activity exceeds allowable limits (i.e. sound blankets) Respond to noise complaints or concerns Temporary Construction Fencing Installation of 8 tall perimeter fencing that will securely delineate the construction work areas and provide noise attenuation Perimeter Fencing with Noise Attenuation

12 Mitigation Measures Construction Mitigation Plans (cont.) Dust Control Watering trucks will be used regularly to mitigate dust Storm Water Protection Filter fabric/controls will be installed around drain inlets to prevent runoff Watering Truck for Dust Control

13 Construction Outreach Construction Noticing Distribute construction notices to project adjacent communities as the work progresses: Post on project website BuildExpo.org Post on project social media sites Facebook and Twitter to database of stakeholders and elected officials Distribute door-to-door to within a ¼ mile radius of the construction work zone Provide to key project stakeholders as appropriate (i.e. homeowners associations, etc.) for further dissemination

15 Opportunities Local Jobs Program Expo Board approved a Project Labor Agreement as part of the contract, which includes a Construction Careers component 30% of construction work hours to be performed by Community Residents who live in zip codes within a 5-mile radius of the Phase 2 alignment 10% of these hours will be performed by Disadvantaged Workers, such as those suffering from chronic unemployment and/or receiving public assistance
