Summary of Principal's Feedback Answer Building Square Footage Comments on the Area Comments on the Stories (Floors) plus Basements Comments on the Number of Classrooms 55 No 2nd Floor Girls Shower Room - sealed off Brian O'Connell I.S. 323 (Old IS 180) - Queens Yes Yes The Principal provided the following comments: 1 - The building's Air ing and Heating is very inconsistent from season to season and requires an upgrade. 2 - Exterior Masonry Walls have many deficiencies and require repairs on an ongoing basis. 3 - There are various locations of water infiltration through wall and roof that need to be addressed. 4 - Student and Staff Toilet Rooms have original finishes and require an upgrade with new Tile Floors and Walls. 5 - Staff and Student Toilet Rooms require a plumbing upgrade as many fixtures are original and deficient. 6 - Many of the Sidewalks at the school perimeter are cracked and need to be replaced. 7 - The Main Entrance Doors to the school are original with many of them difficult to open and close properly and need to be replaced. 8 - The exterior perimeter lighting is inadequate and needs to be upgraded in several locations. 9 - Auditorium Seating damaged during Hurricane Sandy still exist and requires replacement.
