Greetings., ICI (TNCC), is inviting nominations for ICI (TNCC) - UltraTech Awards 2014 for various categories as mentioned below. The awards will be distributed during the 'Concrete Day' celebrations of ICI. The objective of these awards is to recognise the Outstanding Concrete Structure as well as those Outstanding Concrete Engineers who have contributed immensely to the society through their yeoman service. The award comprises of a Citation and a Plaque. 1. ICI (TNCC) - UltraTech Award for Outstanding Concrete Structure of Tamilnadu a. Infrastructure b. Residential/ Commercial The structure should be in Tamil Nadu It shall not be older than three years as on Concrete Day It shall have been built using concrete as one of the prime construction materials The structure shall have outstanding features either in design (both structural and architectural), or innovative construction methods or new concrete materials and large volume usage of concrete or all the above 2. ICI (TNCC) - UltraTech Award for Outstanding Concrete Engineer of Tamilnadu : The Engineer should be a resident of Tamilnadu Should have worked for the cause of concrete and rendered significant contributions to the Research, Development and/or Application of concrete 3. ICI (TNCC) - UltraTech Award for Outstanding Student Chapter of Tamil Nadu : The College should be located in Tamil Nadu Should have conducted Technical activities/ seminars related to field of Concrete 5. ICI (TNCC) - UltraTech Award for Outstanding Thesis in field of Concrete : a. Masters b. Doctoral The student should have been awarded the relevant degree (Masters/ Doctoral) Thesis should have been submitted and accepted during the period 2011 to 2014 Thesis submitted should be in the field of Concrete The institution should certify the originality of the thesis 6. ICI (TNCC) - UltraTech Award for Best Built House : Structure shall be constructed predominantly of Concrete Best quality control measures adopted, Innovative use of concrete in design & Construction Drawings, Design, Photographs (Elevations from all sides, inside, outside views) in soft format and hard format to be enclosed. The structure shall not be more than 3years old, as on Concrete day.. Construction should have been completed and the structure should be functional and in use. Nominations can be submitted by promoters, Builders, Consultants, Architects, Engineers, Government Departments, Contractors and Owners. Must be in conformance with Approval. Please submit your nominations along with relevant particulars as per the enclosed format(s).
