1 PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK CITY OF TOWN AND COUNTRY STORMWATER PROGRAM Project Name: 1 Ridge Creek Rd Bank Stabilization Project ID Number: Problem: The resident of 1 Ridge Creek Road has indicated continued erosion of the embankment at his property as well as the adjacent properties. In particular, an existing railroad tie wall at 3 Wyndmoor Terrace Court is deteriorating due to instability and erosion. The eventual collapse of the wall could be a significant threat to the yard or structure at 3 Wyndmoor Terrace Court. Proposed Solution: Install a combination of hard armor, vegetated stabilization, and grade controls to halt erosion of the creek bank from downcutting and surface runoff. Remove the existing railroad tie wall, regrade the slope, and reinforce with vegetated stabilization. Description of Proposed Alignment: Repair localized erosion of stream bank on 1 Ridge Creek from overland flow coming from between the lots. Vegetation should be established at top of bank in areas where turf is currently maintained to the top of bank. Plant areas with shrubs or trees of appropriate varieties. Install grade controls at the upstream and downstream ends of improvements, as well as at the outfall of the existing 2-in pipe coming from Wyndmoor Terrace Court.
