3 Marine Applications COMPETENCE DUE TO EXPERIENCE Since the mid-eighties Metawell panels have been used very successfully for interior works on cruiseliners, ferries, yachts as well as for special constructions in other vessels. The light aluminium sandwich panels meet, in an ideal way, the constantly increasing demands made on all materials employed with regard to weight, rigidity, possible surface designs and fire behaviour. With Metawell planners and designers have a highly performing material which can be adjusted to an optimum to the various applications in ships and which offers both economically and technically convincing solutions. CERTIFICATES AND APPROVALS The quality management system established in the company has been certified to DIN EN ISO Metawell, as a metal sandwich element, achieves the testing standard of the IMO-resolutions A.653 (16) and MSC 61 (67) annex 1 (part 2 and 5), as well as annex 2. Certification according to MED (MARINE EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE MED 96/98/EC) RS-certification (Russian Maritime Register of Shipping) The supply range covers semi-finished panels as well as pre-finished elements (extent of machining to choice), which allows an individual adjustment to the subcontractor s processing schemes.

4 Ceiling theatrium CEILINGS AND LININGS Metawell panels can not only be used in the traditional frame solutions, which can be realized with all kinds of common sub-construction systems, but are also excellently suited for self-supporting suspended ceiling islands in public areas. Fittings such as loudspeakers, lights or sprinklers can often be inserted directly into the panel and need not to be additionally suspended. Lining of columns and ceiling beams Metawell Aluflex is the ideal sandwich material for all curved parts or balustrades as it can easily be shaped and has good sound attenuation characteristics. Thanks to its flexibility the material can be adjusted to the constructional conditions at site in the best possible way. The attractive corrugation can be used as design element, too. Combining Metawell panels and Metawell Aluflex material the most different geometries can be created for special constructions with fancy formats and fittings. This construction technique is frequently used for ceiling domes, ceiling beams with ventilation slots or for stage areas. Curved ceilings Metawell Marine Applications

5 Wall lining staircase Wall- and ceiling linings WALL AND FLOOR SYSTEMS The use of big-sized Metawell panels in walls, as a decorative curtain-wall element, is ideal for individually designed staircases and public areas, as well as for quickly mountable systems in hat profile constructions. Special construction: shop lining The panels are perfect as carrier material for many different surface materials such as HPL, veneer, foils or paint finishes.the combination of Metawell Aluflex with Metawell panels is used very often for the decoration of spa and wet areas with tiles and mosaics. Because of their low weight and high rigidity Metawell panels are used regularly for raised floors, i.e. in public areas, control rooms and wheelhouses, as well as for platforms. A big advantage of raised floors with Metawell is that they can easily be cut at site with traditional tools. The modular dimensions of the panels respectively the sub-construction as well as the fixing system are determined and optimized projectwise. Wheelhouse floor
