1 59198 ff Water-based satin-finished thick-film glaze for wooden windows and doors for industrial and professional use It has been matched as a system with a 3-coat structure using Aquawood Intermedio and Aquawood TIG General PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Water-based satin-finished thick-film glaze, breathable. Excellent weather resistance and high transparency The product is characterized by a high level of block resistance, very good impact strength and quick resistance to water. Special properties and standards Verification of suitability according to DIN EN Outdoor exposure ÖNORM EN 71-3 Safety of toys; migration of certain elements (free of heavy metals) ÖNORM S 1555 or DIN Perspiration and saliva-proof properties French ordinance DEVL A regarding the marking of construction coating products for their emission of volatile pollutants: A+ Application area Dimensionally stable timber components for exterior such as wooden windows, front doors or garage gates in the usage class 2 and 3 without soil contact. For humid areas (e.g. indoor pools) only with a special structure. For dimensionally unstable wooden components we recommend thin-layer systems such as, for example, Pullex Plus-Lasur or Pullex Aqua-Plus Please observe the relative technical data sheets of the products. PROCESSING Instructions for use Please stir the product before use. However, prevent entry of air while stirring. The temperature of the product and object, and the room temperature must be at least +15 C. The optimal conditions for use are between C with a relative atmospheric humidity between %. Too high dry film thicknesses beyond around 120 µm reduce the diffusion capacity and should thus be avoided. Sealants must be such that they can be coated and should be applied only after through-drying of the paint. Weather strips (supersedes 01-16) ZKL 5106 p.t.o. 2 containing softening agents or plasticizers tend to adhere in combination with paints. Please use only those types that have been tested in this connection. We do not recommend applying two layers with intermediate sanding of Aquawood DSL Q10 SG, because of the content of a matting wax a polishing effect and therefore a poor intermediate adhesion is possible. On deep porous types of hardwood air can get trapped (remedy with Aquawood Intermedio SQ ff). Please follow our "Working guideline for coating dimensionally stable and limited dimensionally stable construction elements" along with al standards and guidelines for window construction. 3 Drying times (at 23 C and 50 % rel. humidity) Cleaning the working equipment Dust-dry (ISO 1517) Tack-free Stackable with PE-foam spacers at room temperature Stackable with PE-foam spacers after forced drying: 20 min flash-off zone 90 min drying phase (35 40 C) 20 min cooling phase Recoatable The figures given above are reference values. The drying time depends on the type of substrate, coat thickness, temperature, air exchange and relative atmospheric humidity. Avoid direct sunlight (very quick drying). With water immediately after use. approx. 1 hour approx. 3 hours after approx. 5 hours after approx. 130 min after approx. 12 hours To remove dried paint residues we recommend using ADLER Aqua- Cleaner or ADLER Abbeizer Rote Krähe (Red Crow). SUBSTRATE Type of substrate Substrate property (or condition) Wood in accordance with the guidelines for window construction. The substrate must be dry, clean, capable of holding the paint, free from separating substances such as grease, wax, silicone, resin etc. and free from wood dust, as well as tested for suitability for coating. Wood moisture Dimensionally stable components: 13 % +/- 2 % COATING SYSTEM Primer coat 1 x Aquawood TIG HighRes 5432 ff Intermediate drying: approx. 4 hours Intermediate coat Softwood: 1 x Aquawood Intermedio or 1 x Aquawood Intermedio HF immersion or flow coating Intermediate drying: approx. 2 hours Hardwood and Larch: 1 x Aquawood Intermedio ISO Wet-film thickness µm Intermediate drying: approx. 2 hours Intermediate sanding Grain size Remove the wood dust (supersedes 01-16) Page 3 of 5

These include particularly the type of weathering, constructive protection, mechanical stress and the choice of the applied colour shades. To obtain a long durability preservation work is necessary in time. Therefore we recommend an annual maintenance. Windows: Cleaning with ADLER Top-Cleaner Preservation using ADLER Top Finish in the ADLER Pflegeset-Plus preservative kit Front doors: Cleaning with ADLER Top-Cleaner Preservation using ADLER Door-Finish in the ADLER Haustürenpflegeset front door preservative kit Please follow our "Working guideline for coating dimensionally stable and limited dimensionally stable construction elements - Maintenance and Renovation. ORDERING INFORMATION 5 Kg; 25 Kg and 120 Kg Poly drum Colour / degree of gloss Frumento / Weizen Orzo/Gerste Marrone/Braun Canapa/Hanf Miele/Honig Other colour shades can be obtained using the ADLER colour blending system ADLERMix: Base paint: Base W The final colour shade is basically obtained from the inherent colour of the wood, the applied quantity, the colour shade of the impregnation and the intermediate coat, and the colour shade of the finishing coat applied (compare with the colour shade chart). It is recommended to prepare a trial colour sample on the original substrate using the coating system selected in order to assess the final colour shade. In order to ensure uniformity of the colour shade, use material having the same batch number on a given surface (supersedes 01-16) Page 4 of 5

5 In order to lay particular emphasis on the wood structure, the selected colour shade of Aquawood TIG should be darker than the one of Aquawood DSL Q10 SG.
