Attendance Present: Jenny Mills (JMA), Candida Nel (JMA), Johan Erasmus (JE), Herman Calitz (HC), Richard Egan (RE), & Burnie (Stainless Crazy) Apologies: Craig McCosh (JMA), Site Meetings Previous Meeting: Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted. Meeting Schedule: Site Meetings to be held every week on Mondays at 12:00pm. Next Site Meeting will be on 18/09/2017. ACTION BY

2 Page 2 of 4 3. Action List 3.1. Information required from Architect JMA Updates to the Stair Drawings will be made following the discussion in the Site Meeting. Section DD to be amended and sent as on an A3 Sheet as well as all the sketches placed on A3 JMA sheet. Batir requires an Electrical / Lighting Layout from JMA for the stair. JMA to start preparing Electrical Layout & Lighting type shortlist for Stefan, from Mapule (Electrical Consultant), comment. Bulkhead detail to be resolved to accommodate Bearing Plate. Health & Safety client representative to be appointed. To check Burnie s Balustrade Shop Drawings once received. To check and sign off Structural Engineers drawings Information required from Contractor Letter regarding subcontractors and deposits to be sent by JE. To apply a bonding agent (for example by Sika) between existing and new concrete. Hand mix 40Mpa concrete for the footings, which will save time and money. A concrete mixer will be arranged by Batir Information required from Structural Engineer SE to aim to submit rebar information schedule for the first flight by Wednesday, 13 th September To finalise the rest of the required structural details and information Information required from Jacobs Flooring (Timber Floor sub-contractor) JE will follow-up on the samples which are required for approval Information required from Stainless Crazy (Balustrade / Structural Steel subcontractor) Burnie to submit Shop Drawings as per the discussion on site. 4. Contract, Program and Preliminaries 4.1. Signing of documents Site handover certificate signed. Set of approved LAD drawings is on site. JMA to discuss the following with Client Representative and get approval; client representative to confirm whether he is in agreement with the Retention or Construction Guarantee. Letter of Contractor Appointment / Intent and draft JBCC contract to be sent to Client Representative for comment / approval Site establishment Site WC is on site, across the road from Steensway 17 at the Site Establishment area. Site store and office has been set up in the property across the road Local Authority Notice of commencement of works has been sent to council Contractor s program Staircase Programme has been sent to JMA by Batir Developments. Information required list attached will be attached to Site Meeting Minutes. Lift Programme pending Council Approval Setting Out. Will be done according to JMA drawings will be issued once details are resolved with RE.

3 Page 3 of Contractors Progress Report. The next Progress Report will be issued after the footing has been casted. Progress made during the past week - Footing inspections has been completed, formwork in progress, and site has been cleaned as well as materials has been delivered Site work program (next 2 weeks) Batir will confirm whether they will be working longer hours (advantage to this is that they are using the different teams in shifts). Complete formwork for the first flight of stairs. Rebar installed for the first flight. New foundations for steel columns New concrete stub columns for steel columns, including post bolts. Install new steel columns Erect Formwork to lower ground / ground floor Cast concrete to lower ground / ground floor scheduled for the 21 st of September Electrical reticulation to proceed Practical completion and Claim for Extension of time Rain delays contractor to send claim with reasons by . JMA will verify as received. No days claimed since last meeting. Dates:. NA Total Rain days to date = NA Original practical completion date: 15 November Site Handover certificate signed dated 21 August Site work commenced on 21 August Revised practical completion date (incl. rain delays): NA Extension of time awarded with no preliminaries. NA 4.9. Health and Safety: Johan has arranged for a Health & Safety officer to be appointed. The file has been issued for Site Records. A Site Visit will be arranged within the next month and a report will be issued following the visit. JMA & JE to arrange a Health & Safety representative on behalf of the client. 5. Matters Arising 5.1. Site Queries RE & JMA information to be checked and clarified General Batir is 3 working days behind (delay in information). Time will be made up by ordering the stainless steel work required, balustrade shop drawings signed off for manufacturing once received, and sticking to concrete pour as scheduled for the 21 st of September Structural Engineer 120mm x 120mm x 6mm - as per SE details. Set steel column (under slab) in by 6mm to allow tolerance for skimming, etc. Supporting plate under slab to be set in by 20mm. SE to aim to submit rebar information schedule for the first flight by Wednesday, 13 th September Quantity Surveyor & Payment All claims to be submitted by 20 th of each month Interim Payment Certificates Draft has been submitted to client representative.

4 Page 4 of Contract Price Variations There is a saving on the timber flooring. Stainless steel support as opposed to the mild steel initially detailed, variance TBC. Balustrade costing variance to be confirmed, if applicable. Electrical cost. Provision has been made in the costing. To confirm any variance. Concrete 40MPa variance TBC Prices requested 8. Sub Contractors and Supplier All programming and co-ordination to be done by contractor in terms of JBCC contract 8.1. Pending dates 8.2. Subcontractor Appointment Contractor has sent JMA a list of Domestic Subcontractors on Tuesday, 22 August Formwork: o Barchalo Support Scaffolding for demolition of existing staircase: o Cape Formwork Contractors Electrical o All Star Electrical Services Balustrades / Structural Steel o Stainless Crazy Flooring and Timber: o Jacobs Flooring 8.3. Suppliers delivery dates Lighting o TBC o Stefan (Mapule Consulting) to reprogramme lighting. Existing switches can be used, however new down lighters required. 9. Information Management 9.1.
