2 THE PRODUCT Versaroc is a high-performance cement-bonded particle board (CBPB) composed of mineralized wood particles and Portland cement. Versaroc is strong, durable and highly fireresistant, being UL listed and rated for zero flamespread and zero smoke development per ASTM E84 and ANSI / UL723. It offers outstanding load-carrying over 24 spans, and excellent sound attenuation qualities. It is non-toxic and environmentally safe, contributing to your building s LEED certification (IEQ Credit 3, IEQ Credit 4). Legendary durability means Versaroc is resistant to fire, moisture, fungus, vermin, impact and general abuse. It is also highly moisture resistant, including an option for factory sealing. Panels are highly stable with dimensional accuracy down to 1/16th inch. On site, it installs and fabricates using standard carpentry tools and equipment, is nailable for shingle applications, and offers high fastener pull-out values. As a result, the Versaroc CBPB panel is a proven performer found in use across the world.

Fire resistance Highly fire-resistant UL listed. Rated for zero flame spread and zero smoke development under surface burning characteristics testing standards of ASTM E84 and ANSI / UL723. Acoustic insulation Excellent sound attenuation properties, with STC rating up to 35. Moisture resistance Will not delaminate in water. Dimensional accuracy Achievable down to 1/16 th inch. Dimensional stability Minimal dimensional changes in temperature & moisture variations. 5 Versaroc ceiling and floor systems are tested and certified by UL for fire resistance in accordance with ASTM E84 and ANSI / UL 723. SPECIFICATION Appearance & Composition Versaroc is a light gray in color and is flat and smooth on both surfaces. Versaroc is composed of Portland cement (71%), mineralized wood fiber (19%), water (9%) and bonding agents (1%). During the manufacturing and curing process, the wood content is mineralized with non-toxic chemical agents to render it fire resistant. These treated mineralized wood elements combine with the Portland cement matrix, producing a panel with the strength and durability of cement and the workability of wood. Sizes Versaroc is available at thicknesses of 5/16, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, 1, 1-1/8, 1-1/4 and 1-1/2. Square edge boards are available on all thicknesses and tongue & groove edges are available on 5/8 through 1-1/4 panels. 4 x 8 sheets are available from stock, with 4 x 10 available by special order. Finishes Panels are available in standard finish, factory sealed on all six sides and/or factory calibrated (sanded). Versaroc ceiling and floor systems are tested and certified by UL for fire resistance in accordance with ASTM E84 and ANSI / UL 723. See UL listed files #R25404 or ASTM E84. Warranty Versaroc is warranted not to crack, spall or degrade for a period of five years from the purchase date from U.S. Architectural Products Inc., when used in accordance with the manufacturer s application instructions. This limited warranty is non-transferable and applies only if Versaroc is stored and installed in accordance with the manufacturer s published guidelines following good construction practice. The manufacturer, at its option, shall either replace any Versaroc found to be defective or refund the original purchase price.
