4 Introduction Insulated Panels manufactures, hygienic and PIR insulated panel solutions for internal and external walls, roofs and ceilings. KS1100 CS insulated panel systems are suitable for use within temperature controlled and hygiene safe environments including: Food Processing Controlling food processing areas is easy with KS1100 CS insulated panel systems. Temperatures within the building can be managed and most importantly the surfaces have hygiene safe coatings, which resist moisture ingress and eliminate any risk of toxic mould or bacterial growth. Cold & Chill Store KS1100 CS insulated panel systems offer temperature controlled environments from -50 C to +60 C. The panels are available in different thicknesses which allow for a range of temperatures to be maintained. Clean Room KS1100 CS insulated panel systems are and therefore provide a controlled sterile environment minimising airborne particles and micro-organisms. Benefits KS1100 CS insulated panel systems: Are designed to withstand internal/external temperature differences of up to 80 C. Are suitable for cold and chill stores and food processing applications, with an internal temperature range of -50 C to +60 C. Incorporate a panel joint that achieves excellent thermal performance and can accommodate vapour and hygiene safe seals. 8 Product Data Application KS1100 CS is an insulated panel system which can be laid vertically or horizontally. It is suitable for use within temperature controlled and hygiene safe environments. Materials Substrate S220GD+ZA hot-dip zinc/aluminium coated metal to BS EN 10214: Standard external sheet thickness nominal 0.5mm, standard internal sheet thickness nominal 0.5mm. Other thicknesses can be supplied for specific orders Coatings - Internal Application Polyester: Fully foodsafe coating although not recommended for prolonged contact with moist or wet food. 25 micron thick standard organic coating standard colour white. Polyester is not suitable for external roof or wall cladding applications. Foodsafe Laminate: Safe for continuous contact with food. 120 micron thick chemically inert polymer film bonded to steel suitable for cladding the interior of cold and chill stores and food processing and other hygienic applications. The standard colour is white. Foodsafe laminate is not suitable for external roof and wall cladding applications. Standard Liner: Bright white polyester. Coatings - External Application XL Forté, Spectrum and other coated steels are available on request. Insulation Core The core of KS1100 CS is an, environmentally sustainable PIR insulation which is non-deleterious with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (zero ODP). C NB. Rebates and thermal breaks are subject to manufacturing tolerances. Details available upon request. 8

9 Panel Joint The tongue and groove joint interfit achieves excellent thermal performance. The panel side joint can accommodate vapour or hygiene safe seals. Air Leakage KS1100 CS insulated panel systems can achieve airtightness below 0.5m 3 /hr/m 50Pa when installed to s recommendations. Performance Thermal Insulation KS1100 CS insulated panel systems have a thermal transmittance (U-value) of: Panel Thickness (mm) U-value (W/m 2 K) Fire The KS1100 CS insulated panel system is both LPCB and FM approved. LPCB certified to LPS 1208 up to 60 minutes. Specifications are available on request from envirocare Technical Services. FM approved to FMRC 4880 Class 1 Fire Classification (no height restriction i.e. - Unlimited Height). The steel outer and inner facings have Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS 476-7: 1987 (Fire tests on building materials and structures. Method of test to determine the classification of the surface spread of flame of products) and are Class 0, as defined by Building Regulations. Approved to LPS 1208 Certificate No. 260b Acoustics KS1100 CS insulated panel systems have a predicted single figure weighted sound reduction Rw = 24dB. Sound Reduction Index (SRI) Frequency (Hz) SRI (db) Biological KS1100 CS insulated panel systems are resistant to attack from mould, fungi, mildew and vermin. No urea formaldehyde is used in the manufacture of the panels. KS1100 CS insulated panel systems can incorporate project specific hygiene safe, wash and clean down facings. Quality KS1100 CS insulated panel systems are manufactured from the highest quality materials, using state of the art production equipment to rigorous quality control standards, approved to BS EN ISO 9001: 2000 (Quality management systems. Requirements). manufacturing plants are BS EN ISO 14001: 2004 (Environmental management systems. Requirements with guidance for use) and BS OHSAS 18001: 2007 (Occupational health and safety management systems. Requirements) accredited. Guarantees KS1100 CS insulated panel systems are available with the Total Panel Guarantee offering up to 25 years thermal and structural performance guarantee. Packing Standard Packing KS1100 CS insulated panel systems are stacked horizontally with facing sheets upward. The entire pack is wrapped in polythene. The number of panels in each pack depends on panel length, weight and thickness. Typical pack height is 1200mm. Maximum pack weight 1500kg. Core Thickness (mm) Panels per pack Sea Freight Fully timber crated packs are available on projects requiring delivery by sea freight shipping, at additional cost. Alternatively, steel containers can be used. Special loading charges apply. Delivery All deliveries (unless indicated otherwise) are by road transport to project site.
