2 Division 31 Earthwork Section Section Section Section Section Division 33 Utilities Section Section Excavating (As it relates to this scope) Site Rough Grading (As it relates to this scope) Backfilling (As it relates to this scope) Trenching (As it relates to this scope) Soil Materials (As it relates to this scope) Water Utility Distribution System Sewer Collection System Standard Specifications Appendix A-F - Water & Wastewater Specifications Scope of work shall include the cost of all the necessary labor, material, hoisting, scaffolding, tools, equipment, supplies, engineering and supervision required to furnish, install and complete the Plumbing Scope of Work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and instructions contained herein. As a further clarification, the work shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. Prior to mobilization by this Subcontractor, all building pads and site areas will have been graded to within + 0.1' of final subgrade. It shall be the responsibility of this Subcontractor to restore the grades to their initial conditions after all underground work is completed. If discrepancies are found, corrections shall be made, and regrading performed by others, at this Subcontractor's expense. Spoils to be placed as directed by Sundt Construction to onsite stockpile. 2. Provide as-built documents of all subsurface piping installed. As-builts to be updated weekly. 3. Subcontractor shall present to Sundt Construction Superintendent a copy of their annual OSHA excavation permit, if required, for jobsite posting. 4. Subcontractor shall have a designated QC and Safety individual onsite at all times while they are working on the project. Subcontractor personnel assigned these duties must provide complete QC and Safety documentation in a timely manner as dictated by the project requirements. 5. Include all work associated with onsite domestic water and sanitary sewer lines from the building out to the point of connection (POC) behind the curb as indicated on the Civil Documents. Including but not limited to excavation, backfill, pipe shading, pipe, valves, fittings and backfill as required for a complete installation. 6. Include all storm drain from building to curb outlet or to underground storm drain line 5 outside of building. Include under-walk drains with all fittings and adapters as applicable.

3 7. Include gas service throughout the building and out to POC at the gas meters. The gas meter and gas piping to meter location will be by Gas Utility. 8. Coordinate all POC's with the Civil Plans. If a conflict exists, include what it will take to complete the systems in accordance with the Civil Plans. Include all required sub-surface trenching, shoring, excavation, backfill and compaction, including imported soils for shading and sloping backfill. It shall be the responsibility of this Subcontractor to provide at the construction jobsite at least one individual qualified as a "competent individual" as defined by OSHA standards during all trenching, shoring, excavation and subterranean operations. The individual shall be responsible for the evaluation of project conditions, evaluation of onsite soil qualities, the installation and maintenance of all shoring systems, the selection and use of all equipment, and shall have the authority to halt work should a dangerous or hazardous condition be detected. Further, it shall be the Subcontractor's responsibility to obtain and pay for the project specific excavation permit. The Subcontractor shall analyze all project conditions and shall provide fully engineered shoring in conformance with all OSHA guidelines. Such shoring shall be presented to Sundt Construction for review prior to installation. Shoring shall be included where required for trenches, major excavation and structural footings. The cost for all safety provisions at the construction project site and the cost of its design shall have been anticipated by the Subcontractor at bid time and will be included in this subcontract amount. Subcontractor shall maintain and adhere to safety program dealing with trenching and excavation. Program must be accepted by Sundt Construction prior to mobilization. Access ladders are included. Comply with General Notes and Title 24 requirements. Comply with all shop drawing and submittal requirements 9. Please provide quantity of spoils to be generated as part of this scope of work on your bid form. 10. Dust control, required as a result of the work of this Subcontract, in conformance with City, County, and State regulations. 11. According to the Soils Report native soils should be acceptable for backfill around subsurface lines. If for some reason some of the soil is not deemed to be acceptable then the lines shall be backfilled with select material. Any select backfill material shall be provided and placed by the subcontractor at no additional cost. 12. Domestic water service within the buildings including all fittings, fixtures and equipment to provide a complete system. 13. Sewer service within the buildings including all fittings, fixtures and equipment to provide a complete system. 14. Gas service within the buildings including all fittings, fixtures and equipment.

4 15. Include all waste and vent lines, including lab waste and grease waste, within the buildings including all fittings, etc., to provide complete systems. 16. Include the grease trap with all fittings, lines, etc., to provide a complete system. 17. All condensate lines shown or required, from the drain to within ten (10) feet of the unit. The HVAC subcontractor will run the condensate line from the unit (connection point) out ten (10) feet. Include installation of sampling boxes if required by health departments. 18. All roof or deck drains, piping and overflow piping, including all fittings, etc., to provide a complete system. 19. Include all plumbing equipment and fixtures per the schedules or as noted on the Contract Documents. 20. Roof jacks for vents, and lead pan flashing material shall be provided F.O.B. jobsite for installation by others. 21. Caulking, sealing and flashing as required to ensure an acoustic weather/water tight condition at all roof and/or wall penetrations. 22. Provide all access doors shown or required for this work, F.O.B. jobsite. Installation by others. Provide quantity of doors with bid proposals. 23. Furnish and install all sleeves required for roof, wall, and slab penetrations. 24. Include fire rated caulking and fire safing as required at all rated penetrations. 25. All cutting, sleeving, anchorage, coring, strapping, etc., to complete this work. 26. All access and scaffolding to complete this work. 27. All testing and disinfecting required. Certificates of compliance shall be provided. 28. Layout of all work, including trenching, from control points furnished by others if required. 29. All water from system testing shall be contained and channeled out of the structure. Water is not to spill open onto finished slab or damage other finished work. 30. Water distribution for testing purposes is provided at the temporary water service locations. Subcontractor is responsible for distribution from hose bib locations into the building. 31. Include all hoisting of materials for this scope of work.

5 32. Mobilizations or move-ins as required to perform the work in accordance with Contractor's schedule. 33. Subcontractor shall provide adequate manpower, and work such days, hours, and shifts so as not to negatively impact the schedule and/or the progression of other trades at no additional cost to Contractor. 34. Provision for temporary water services Include temporary water line to Sundt Construction s jobsite trailer and to a point near the building as designated by Sundt Construction supervision. 35. Calibration and certification of domestic water service and back flow preventers. All testing and disinfecting as required. 36. Final plumbing connections to owner provided equipment. 37. Balancing of domestic water system. 38. Furnish and install all work associated with the lab water including RO and DI water for a complete operating system. 39. Furnish and install all work associated with the water softening system as required and as shown on the Contract Documents. 40. Furnish and install all lab compressed air piping system including all controls, piping, equipment, valves, and 3rd party testing and certification of complete and functioning systems as required and/or shown on the Contract Documents. 41. Furnish and install vacuum systems including all controls, piping, equipment, valves, and 3rd party testing and certification of complete and functioning systems as required and/or shown on the Contract Documents. 42. Furnish and install CO2 systems including all piping, equipment, valves, controls, sensors and 3rd party testing and certification of complete and functioning systems as required and/or shown on the Contract Documents. 43. Furnish and install liquid nitrogen systems including all piping, equipment, valves, controls, sensors and 3rd party testing and certification of complete and functioning systems as required and/or shown on the Contract Documents. 44. Furnish and install all lab fixtures, sinks, valves, quick disconnects, outlets etc. as required and as shown on the Contract Documents. 45. Furnish and install fixtures including, but not limited, to emergency eye wash, showers, drains, sinks, water closets, urinals, lavatories, drinking fountains, etc.

6 46. Assist the Commissioning Agent as required during all commissioning activities. Commissioning Agent contracted directly to the Owner. 47. Furnish and install all piping and valve identification and tags as required for this scope of work and as indicated on the Contract Documents. 48. All Plumbing Scope as described in the "ATTACHMENT F - TRADE INTERFACE AGREEEMENT" in coordination with the fire suppression, HVAC, and electrical subcontractors. 49. Furnish and install all pipe insulation for this scope of work as called for in the Contract Documents. 50. Have a minimum of one (1) man on site for pour watch to ensure all work remains intact during all concrete placement and masonry grouting work. Any coring, cutting, and patching due to missed or moved work is the responsibility of this Subcontractor. 51. Subcontractor shall furnish and install engineered supports, equipment supports, equipment stands, vibration isolation pads, seismic restraints as required, miscellaneous iron, knee bracing, hanger steel, intermediate steel required to span open spaces within the structure, pipe legs, etc., as may be required to meet the intent of the Contract Documents and complete the installation of the mechanical systems. Subcontractor shall prime paint all miscellaneous steel used for supports. 52. All Project BIM Requirements as outlined in the bid documents are specifically included in this subcontract agreement. 53. This Subcontractor shall comply with all of the documents that have been issued with this package as described and listed on the Sundt Construction Invitation to Bid for any information not defined in the 100% Design Development Documents issued by Perkins+Will. 54. Plumbing subcontractors shall familiarize themselves with the project Structural Drawings and specifically the slab on grade/foundation drawings. There will be occurances where drainage piping passes through concrete grade beams. Plumbing subcontractors shall include adequate sleeves for their piping. Coordinate with Sundt Construction for sleeve locations to avoid conflicts with steel reinforcing. The following items are specifically excluded: 1. Landscaping water service (Landscape Subcontractor) 2. Electrical Work (Electrical Subcontractor) 3. High pressure gas service and meter (Utility) 4. Process piping, refrigerant piping and chilled water supply/return piping for HVAC system. 5. Installation of access door by others. Furnish all access doors with mounting hardware.
