Innovative products for road construction and landscaping landscaping SysDrain the multifunctional shaft system for efficient local collection of rainwater

One system lots The advantages at a glance SysDrain is easy to transport Installation does not require heavy machinery SysDrain is modular in design and use SysDrain relieves the burden on the public drainage system Simple to integrate by means of standard connections SysDrain base module A tongue and groove system is used to join three symmetric side parts to a shaft. This means assembly can be done in a matter of seconds without the need for any extra tools. Item No.:

of options landscaping For drainage of roof surfaces and peripheral areas. SysDrain is suitable for weekend residences, garages, carports, conservatories, log cabins or those areas far out on the periphery such as children s playgrounds, car parks, courtyard entrances, basement exits or sports grounds. It also relieves the burden on the public drainage system. For storing small amounts of precipitation. SysDrain is not just used for drainage. You can also use this modular system as a cistern, extracting water with an electric or manual beam pump, as necessary. As inspection shafts SysDrain is also suitable as an inspection shaft for garden ponds and is ideal as a sump well on construction sites.

Accessories for multif Inlet module, three part For point drainage, direct water inlet from above or by connection of a DN 150 inlet pipe. A built-in, coarse sieve captures larger debris etc. Item No.: Lid (included with delivery of the base module) The solid lid is fixed to the shaft ring with three bolts using a size 10 Allen key. The opening for the inlet module can be broken out with a strike from a hammer, if required. Filter membrane The filter membrane prevents penetration of sand and stones into the interior of the shaft. The adhesion points provided means it is easy for one person to fix them together. The filter membrane is durable and will not rot. Item No.: Plastic tube Plastic tubes in 3 sizes (170, 340 and 510 litres) are available for collecting smaller volumes of precipitation. The plastic tube is inserted into the shaft, tucked over the top rim and then fixed with the lid or an adapter ring. Item No.: (1 module) Item No.: (2 modules) Item No.: (3 modules) Floor The floor serves as a baffle plate and prevents erosion of the shaft base. If the shaft is used as a small water tank, the floor protects the tank foil. Item No.: Shaft element As extension module with 3 attachable side parts, without lid Item No.: Adapter/foundation ring The adapter can be used to attach a wide variety of customary, walk-on shaft covers (d=600) to the extension module. The foundation ring helps stabilise the shaft on the base of the pit. Item No.:

unctional application landscaping Conservatories, weekend residences, gazebos, allotments, carports, playgrounds and lots more besides. The SysDrain shaft system covers a vast range of applications due to its modular nature, simple handling and the extent of its connection options. Handling SysDrain Besides its modular nature, SysDrain s simple handling is a further feature. The base module weighs only 11 kg so it can easily be assembled, transported, installed or worked on by one person.

Installation and tech Fig. 3 SysDrain combination for surface drainage and water storage SysDrain base module with inlet module for surface drainage Determining the location: SysDrain must be sited at least 3 metres away from residential properties with or without basements. In the case of carports, summer houses, prefabricated garages and buildings without a basement, SysDrain can be installed immediately next to the structure. Excavate the pit: diameter circa 160 cm, depth 100 cm. Conduct a bucket test after excavating the pit. Pour a bucket of water a few times onto the floor of the pit and in each case observe how it seeps away. If the water seeps away quickly and completely then your substrate is suitable for a rainwater infiltration system. Although a soil survey will provide more reliable information. Break out the seepage holes: as necessary and according to how you want to use SysDrain, break out the hole sections from each of the three side parts or the lid. Insert the inlet / inspection module and turn it clockwise by around 20. Attaching the filter membrane: after final positioning of the shaft, place the filter membrane around the shaft. Use the adhesion points provided to attach the filter membrane. At the same time take account of the position of the breakout for the intake (diameter DN 100). The hole in the membrane for the intake can be cut with a pair of household scissors. Inserting the shaft: insert the shaft into the pit and check the installation level with the lid in place (including inlet / inspection module). Make any necessary height adjustments using the blinding gravel at hand. The upper edge of the inlet / inspection module should sit level with the top of the surrounding terrain. Connecting the feed pipe: connect the feed pipe, allowing it to project into the shaft by around 10 cm. Then place the lid on the shaft ring and secure it with the bolts provided. Please ensure that the lid is properly engaged on the side parts. The bolt holes in the lid match threads in the shaft element. Filling the pit: venly fill the pit around the shaft with blinding gravel. Cover the final 10 to 15 General information Infiltration systems should not be installed in areas with compacted soil, since compaction significantly reduces the effectiveness of infiltration. The surfaces to be drained must be taken into account when used as a drainage collector. The diameter of the blinding gravel mantel has a major impact on the number of shaft elements required. We recommend, however, that you plan for a diameter between 50 to 75 cm.

Shaft ring: Assembled, outside circa 612 x 620 mm Storage capacity: Circa 170 litres per module Connection options: Each side part 3 x DN 115 Overall height: Including mounted inlet module, circa 880 mm Base module: Circa 11 kg centimetres to the top edge of the inspection module with humus. This will be stamped down during covering. Then seed the surface. Note: if the pit is not filled evenly the shaft ring can become deformed or alter its position. Tip for installation: SysDrain is made from polyethylene and can easily be cut with a handsaw or jigsaw, if required. Tip on functionality: for lasting functionality with long maintenance intervals we recommend installing a dirt filter at the top of the shaft, in the feed pipe or in the gutter. Fig. 3: Shaft consisting of 3 SysDrain modules made in germany made by ritter SysDrain easy to adapt and extend Up to three shaft elements can be stacked on top of each other in series to create a shaft with a depth of 180 cm. Three standard DN110 connections enable optimum adaptation to the periphery. 18 breakout slots per side part mean that water seepage in or out can be increased if the soil only allows moderate seepage.
