3 P450/STANDARD PARTITION Autopolar, Conegliano, P450 The P450 wall is based on a rolled steel load-bearing structure consisting of ceiling and floor tracks, and upright posts finished with solid or glazed panels. Unlike the other wall systems which are made to measure for each single application, the P450 system is composed of standard modules covering a range of width and height dimensions designed to meet different design requirements. Vertical and horizontal scribe panels are used to finish the installation. There is an alternative version which uses full height panels with no need for scribing. Finally, the P450 is also available as a storage wall, which combines two functions in one product: a dividing partition and floor to ceiling storage. The design of the P450 wall is based on standard modules adapted to specific requirements. The chosen module can be finished by using solid or glazed elements, as well as door modules. The P450 steel load-bearing structure can be finished in wood or melamine solid panels, either full height or in horizontal bands. The void in the solid modules allows mineral wool insulating material to be added to achieve optimum soundproofing. Hinged doors, solid or glazed, complete the P450 series. The doors are installed on painted aluminum perimeter frames anchored to the steel structure. They are available single glazed or solid with a honeycomb core finished in wood veneer or melamine. 5 P450 MODULARITY The P450 system is formed by set of modular and constituent elements of partition and storage wall. With a limited number of basic dimensions that are variously combined, it can provide an efficient solution to meet any distributive and functional requirements. The storage wall provides various boxes that are suitable for different sectors such as: residences, offices, schools, shops, laboratories, etc. Partitions can be completely solid or glazed or mixed. P450 SOLID VERSION The P450 steel load-bearing structure can be finished in wood or melamine solid panels, either full height or banded horizontally. A mineral wool insulating material added to the solid modules enhances soundproofing. Glazed and solid finishes can be combined, for instance as an over panel or in the middle, as per project specifications. The accuracy in designing and installing the system can be seen through the great precision of the horizontal panels. 6 P450 STORAGE WALL The P450 wall is also available as a storage wall. This version is based on the same structural system but also features a filing system. The storage wall is fitted floor-to-ceiling like the partition but it is equipped with metal shelves anchored to the sides. The door leaves are available either solid or glazed. 7 P450 TECHNICAL DATA P450 MODULAR PARTITION WALL The freestanding structure is composed of crossbars and uprights fitted with thrust bearings containing springs to compensate for any possible variations in floor or ceiling levels, as well as to absorb ceiling defects. The upright is a 12/10 rolled galvanized steel profile with slots spaced 1 1/4 apart for attachment of panel anchors and insertion of crossbars. Additional slots spaced 1 1/4 apart on the front enable the attachment of equipment, worktops, or storage units. The two brackets attached to the ends of the crossbar are designed to fit into the supporting elements mounted on the uprights. Uprights and crossbars have the same cross-section and permit both vertical and horizontal cabling through a pair of rectangular punched holes. The structure is completed top and bottom with a black epoxy-powder coated 2 3/8 x1 5/8 steel channel, with three self-extinguishing plastic gaskets (two side gaskets between channel and panels and one for floor and ceiling). The skirting can contain a cabling duct in the bottom channel which runs along the entire length of the partition. The partition uses adjustable corner connection elements for flexible layouts suited to all kinds of spaces, thus surpassing the concept of perpendicular configurations. The external connection of the adjustable corner joint is formed by two aluminum profiles that can be set in a position ranging from 90 to 180. The choice of two types of panels solid or glazed available in different height combinations together with the door modules represents an array of solutions meeting every need. The solid panel consisting of melamine-faced chipboard (decorative melamine impregnated paper with a weight of 120 g/sqm) trimmed with 1/16 ABS edging, is snapped into place on the frame with metal springs. The glazed sections consisting of two 3/16 tempered glass panes sandwiched together in compliance with UNI EN ISO or 1/8 +1/8 in compliance with UNI EN ISO are framed by an epoxy-powder coated extruded aluminum profile with mounting brackets. Motorized or manual Venetian blinds can be housed in the cavity. If required panels can be fitted with ventilation or air conditioning grilles. The door frame consists of an epoxy-powder coated extruded aluminum profile fitted with perimeter seal gaskets and anchored to the steel structure; it is also equipped with adjustable hinges. 2) The front and back top is edged with soft, dual-density plastic profiles that are knock resistant and dust-proof. The top is attached to the sides with four patented joints, formed by steel studs screwed into the side panel and crush-proof plastic inserts set into the top, locked together by half a turn with a screwdriver. 3) The metal base resembles the top, with similar connecting joints, except for the use of metal cams. 4) The 7/9 back panels (1/2 for the wall version) are attached with plates fixed to the side panels and by pre stressed steel springs on the face of the back panel, which are pressed into place. 5) The bottom edges of the front and back skirtings are finished with soft dual-density dust-proof profiles. They are anchored on the side panel holes with studs and springs. A self-leveling foot is attached to the structure with screws. The upper infill panels extend right up to the ceiling and seal with a dustproof gasket. The skirting is simply snapped into place making the lower section readily serviceable. P450 EXPOSED TRACK / PARTITION WALL In buildings with highly regular sections it is possible to use a P450 partition with an exposed track eliminating the need for top infill panels and using a single panel both solid and glazed from floor to ceiling. In this case the extendable metal track accommodates any unevenness in floor or ceiling. The epoxy-powder coated track acts as a trim and can be filled with polyurethane material to enhance sound performance. Tracks are available in various heights and can be selected on the basis of other types of system used in the same space. 10 DOOR MODULE The following types of door are available: - 2 solid leaf made by chipboard with a honeycomb core, faced with non-scratch laminated plastic, edged with a rounded PVC trim 1/16 thick, and fitted with a bayonet brush gasket along the bottom edge for heat and/or sound proofing. - Glazed leaf: 1/2 thick, tempered transparent float glass with polished edges. The door modules, 39 3/8 and 47 1/4 wide measured along their axis - (39 3/8 + for openable leaf) and 7 3/16 and 8 15/64 high, combine perfectly with the solid and glazed panels which have the same dimensions in width and modularity in height, based on an increments of The door opening complies with the requirements of current safety regulations. A readily serviceable 7.8 technical module can be installed on the side of the 39 3/8 wide door for vertical internal cabling, installation of electrical parts or for external signage. The partition can be equipped with various types of storage units, worktops and accessories which can be attached to the uprights by means of hooks to create highly versatile furnishings. MODULAR PARTITION STORAGE WALL The structure is made of sides, top, bottom, and front and back skirting. 1) The sides of the storage wall partition consist of front and back edged panels, with painted extruded aluminum profiles fitted with two narrow gaskets made of soft dual density knock-resistant and sound-proof plastic. The profiles are made of UNI 3569 alloy, tempered after extrusion. They define the door and drawer jambs, and the position of the back panel and of the back and front skirting. The side panels have two columns of all-through holes (3/16 holes spaced 1/4 apart) to attach the top and bottom, to assemble the structure and all additional fittings: shelves, doors, skirting, and infill panels. The end side panels have 7/16 deep non-through holes on one side only. The side panels of the storage wall which is meant to be placed against a wall are edged with a metal profile on the front only. The rear edges are fitted with extruded plastic profiles for the insertion of light-weight 1/2 back panels, allowing two partitions to be sandwiched together back to back and leaving a cavity that can be filled with sound proofing material, if required.
