2 NBCC (India) Limited's Contribution to NSDF for betterment of Sports Facilities in India Parliamentary Standing Committee on Human Resource Development to Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex was held on , to discuss with representatives of 11 CPSEs, the issue of the performance of national Sports Development Fund and Recruitment & Promotion of Sportspersons in PSUs and also to assess the promotion of sports, development & maintenance of sports infrastructure. On this occasion, Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC (India) Ltd., made on spot announcement for contributing Rs.10 Lacs to National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) for betterment of sports facilities in our Country, before the Parliamentary Committee. Also, NBCC is putting all out endeavor, considering a Sports Policy 2

3 NBCC CELEBRATED INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY On the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June 2016, NBCC, the State-owned Navratna CPSU, organized Yoga Sessions and Seminars at its Corporate Office and the offices across the country. At Corporate Office in New Delhi, Yoga Sessions were organized in the morning under the trained Yoga Teacher invited from Morarji Desai Institute of Yoga, New Delhi. Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Senior Executives and the Employees of the Company attended the sessions and performed various Yogasanas. A seminar on "Meditation as Medicine"was also organized on the occasion later and was inaugurated by CMD of the Company. The invited faculty, Shri B. K. Pius, Director, Prajapita Brhama Kumaris Ishwaiya Vishwa Vidyalaya (PBKIVV), New Delhi, conducted the Seminar who dwelt at length emphasizing the importance of meditation in daily life and the significant role that yoga & meditation can play for stress management, development of positive attitude. More than 50 officials including the top management representatives attended the programme who found it very enriching and enabler in addressing the challenges of current life-style issues and its management through daily practice of meditation. 3

Gyula Petho, Hon'ble Ambassador of Hungary to India, & Delegation, during their visit to NBCC Corporate office on Hungary Delegation made presentation on Indigenize Construction Technology to build affordable buildings in India. 4

5 NBCC ORGANIZED STRATEGIC CONFERENCE ON UPCOMING MEGA- VALUE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS NBCC organized a Strategic Conference on upcoming mega-value Redevelopment Projects on 25th June 2016 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. The Conference had interactions amongst the invitee Consultants and Architects with regard to Efficient, Swift and Hassle free implementation of upcoming Redevelopment Projects and discussed the ways of accelerating the projects without compromising on quality and keeping environment sustainability as topmost priority. The Strategic Conference was moderated by the Senior Executives of NBCC. 5

6 HEALTH CHECK UP CAMP BY FORTIS HOSPITAL AT EAST KIDWAI NAGAR PROJ. Health Check-up Camp by `FORTIS HOSPITAL, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, has been organized by CGM(Engg.) at the Redevelopment of East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi project on with the support of Corporate HRM Division and M/s. East West Assist Pvt., Ltd. (TPA). In the Health Check-up camp, besides consultations in Cardiac and Ortho by the leading Doctors of Fortis, tests such as BMI, BP Management, ECG, BMD etc., were carried out to the entire satisfaction of the employees / workers, whose numbers were more than 100. The special concern and care by the CMD towards NBCC employees / workers health have been much appreciated by everyone present. Further, Chief General Manager (Engg.), East Kidwai Nagar Project, New Delhi - Shri R K Aggarwal, also emphasized organising, such camps more frequently to achieve CMD`s vision of Employee Health & Wellness. 6

7 NBCC OBSERVES SWACHHTA PAKHWADA As a part of Swachh Bharat Mission of Govt. of India, NBCC observed Swachhta Pakhwada from 16 June to 30 June In gracious presence of Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, Swachhta Pledge was administrated to employees of the company at Corporate Office, New Delhi, by Director (Projects). The event was also graced by Chief Vigilance Officer. Subsequent to the Pledge Ceremony, CMD, Directors, CVO and the Officers and employees of the company also participated in cleaning activities of the office campus to reiterate their commitment to cleanliness campaign. 7

8 In-house Training Workshop on Totality of Project Management and Certificate in Project Management The in-house training workshop on Totality of Project Management and Certificate in Project Management (CIPM) which started on has successfully concluded today. On this occasion, Shri Hem Raj, Executive Director (Engg.) presented Certificate of Participation for the program to 22 Middle level Engineers of NBCC. Additionally, the officials will also get Certificate in Project Management upon qualifying the examination, which was held today by International Institute of Projects and Program Management (i2p2m). 8

9 NBCC to launch Ganga cleaning project in Bihar NBCC (India) is set to kickstart projects aimed at cleaning the Ganga in Bihar, a senior official of the company said. Under the project, NBCC will undertake cleaning of debris, construction of new ghats, modernisation of existing ghats, repair, cleaning of the river surface, construction of crematorium and public facilities such as toilets. It will also set up a village drainage system in order to curb direct discharge into the river. NBCC is also awaiting approval for another 10 towns by the Ministry, Shah added. In total, NBCC will carry out projects across 19 towns in Bihar. According to estimates, the project is expected to fetch the company upwards of 600 crore. 9

10 NBCC TO DEVELOP INDIA HABITAT CENTRE LIKE CENTRES IN OTHER METRO CITIES NBCC (India) Limited and India Habitat Centre (IHC) have signed MoU for development of integrated Office Complex and Hubs for Social & Cultural activities in various metro cities of the country. The land for the same shall be provided by the interested State Governments on concessional rates. As per MoU signed on June 22, 2016 between Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC and Shri Rakesh Kacker, Director, IHC, NBCC, a pioneer construction Navratna PSU will develop such state-of-art centres which shall have facilities like Institutions, Conference Halls, Convention Centre, Auditorium, Health Centre, Food Courts, Banquet Hall, and Guest Houses etc. in the style of Delhi IHC. The model to be adopted by NBCC for development of such Centres shall be on self-sustaining basis. In the initiative, IHC will lend its branding apart from technical knowhow for development, execution and post construction management of the properties whereas NBCC shall be responsible for Designing, Engineering and Development of the Centres. Initially, the focus for development of such IHCs shall be in Kolkata, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal and Amravati. 10

The Company has been awarded the Award by M/s. Greentech Foundation, for its Outstanding Achievement in Safety Management for Redevelopment of Kidwai Nagar (East) Project, New Delhi. 13
