3 NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the Saunders County Clerk until March 12, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., for the installation of corrugated metal pipes with steel headwalls attached, wingwalls, channel grading, backfill pipes to 1 foot above pipes and other related incidental work at three sites in Saunders County. Saunders County will furnish and deliver the culvert pipes (with headwalls attached) and wingwall materials to the project sites. The project sites are located: C-78(738) On Road 32 between Lorraine Road and Road Z; C-78(779) On Road 18 between Road T and Road U and C-78(784) On Road 19 between Road C and Road D, all in Saunders County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as Saunders County 2019 Culverts: C-78(738), C-78(779) and C-78(784) and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required to install: C-78(738) triple 72 x 47 round equivalent on a 30 deg. skew (lhb), C-78(779) quad 72 x 41 round equivalent on a 10 deg. skew (rhb), and C-78(784) triple 72 x46 on a 20 degree skew (lhb) with sloped inlet apron, all corrugated metal pipes with steel headwalls and wingwalls. Copies of the Bid Documents and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the Saunders County Highway Superintendent, 426 N Broadway, Wahoo, Nebraska A set of documents may be obtained from Mainelli Wagner & Associates, Inc. for a non-refundable fee of $ (6920 Van Dorn, Suite A Lincoln, Nebraska PH: ). All Bid Proposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the Saunders County Clerk, Saunders County Courthouse, PO Box 61, Wahoo, NE 68066, and should be plainly marked as, Installation Bid Proposal Saunders County 2019 Culverts: C-78(738), C-78(779) and C-78(784) Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the County Treasurer of Saunders County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to include an estimated completion date for each site with their Bid Proposal. The desired completion date for all three sites is November 30, No project can be started without the intent to complete that site without delay from the other sites, therefore, the Contractor will not be allowed to start the removals at a site unless they have committed a crew to complete the work at that site. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Saunders County Board of Supervisors. The Saunders County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Award of the Contract will be in accordance with the County Purchasing Act s competitive bidding considerations as set forth in Neb.Rev.Stat to Saunders County is an Equal Opportunity Employer. 6 We understand that this will be a lump sum contract and the total contract amount will be obtained by multiplying the Plan Quantities by the associated Unit Prices. If awarded the contract, we will furnish a surety bond and certificates of insurance as indicated in the Contract Documents. We will not exclude any Proprietor/Partner/ Executive Officer/Member from the workers compensation and employers liability coverage of the insurance certificate. As specified in the Notice to Bidders, we hereby submit this BID BOND CERTIFIED CHECK in the amount of $ (5% of total bid for all sites). This bond will become the property of Saunders County if an award is offered within thirty days after the bid opening and we, as the successful bidder, fail to enter into a contract with Saunders County.
