Unique Systems UZIN has long been known for pioneering innovative primers and moisture control systems to help support screeding and flooring contractors. We provide a range of specialist primers and damp proof membranes for commercial and industrial flooring which can help expedite projects. We have also developed a unique system to protect an-hydrite, gypsum and calcium sulphate screeds against residual moisture. A first for the flooring industry! UZIN primers increase the bond strength between the substrate and smoothing compound or underlayment. They also help prevent the water in the smoothing compound and underlayment from being drawn out too quickly. Whether in a new build or refurbishment, protecting against subfloor moisture is critical for ensuring the success of any final floor finish. We provide moisture control systems for both cementitious and anhydrite screeds to ensure any projects can be completed to schedule. With our expert knowledge, product range and technical service we have the capability to overcome any problems or difficulties you may face. 7 DPM System for Anhydrite Screeds Anhydrite screeds need UZIN. UZIN is renowned for innovating new products and systems to meet the needs of flooring contractors, architects and clients. The industry has seen a growth in the use of anhydrite screeds but has failed to find an answer for adequate protection against moisture. Until now! After several years of rigorous testing, UZIN has developed a solution. With this innovative system, anhydrite, calcium sulphate and gypsum screeds can be permanently protected against residual moisture up to 95 % RH. Projects can now be expedited. Waiting for damp anhydrite screeds to dry are now a thing of the past. The new UZIN system allows projects to be completed much quicker and avoids long delays. Whether you have a standard job or a large special project, anhydrite screeds need UZIN. The system Smoothing compound UZIN PE 280 UZIN PE 404 UZIN PE 425 Calcium sulphate / anhydrite screed with relative humidity up to 95 % Step by step guide: 1 The substrate must be dry, free from cracks, clean, free from laitance and other materials, which would impair adhesion. Use a grinding machine to remove all surface laitance and expose the screed aggregate. Remove any dirt or dust from the calcium sulphate screed with an industrial vacuum cleaner. 4 Use a UZIN Nylon Fibre Roller to apply a thin coat of UZIN PE 280 primer and allow to dry for approximately 45 minutes. 2 Mix parts A & B of UZIN PE 425 together. Slowly add 6 litres of water and mix again. Then apply onto the substrate using a UZIN Nylon Fibre Roller until the calcium sulphate screed is saturated. Allow to dry for 1 to 2 hours. Then apply a second coat onto the substrate. Allow to dry for at least 12 to 48 hours. 5 Once dry apply a suitable smoothing compound dependent on the floor covering. 3 Apply a coat of UZIN PE 404 resin DPM onto the substrate using the UZIN Nylon Fibre Roller, ensuring the whole surface is completely covered. Allow to dry for approximately 1 hour. Once dry apply a second coat and allow to dry for another hour
