2 About Viadukt Viadukt d.d. is the largest construction company in Croatia and in the South East Europe. It was founded in 1947, it employs more than employees and is specialized in the execution of infrastructure works, especially in the field of construction of traffic roads, bridges, tunnels, sea ports and airports as well as industrial plants. Other than in Croatia, the company does business in European, Asian and North African markets. Our vision Viadukt is a socially, technically and environmentally concious regional leader in civil infrastructure engineering oriented toward further development and satisfying all complex clients requirements. Our mission Pursuing business excellence and sustainable development with the employees as our greatest asset. Today, our work remains a constant reminder of the effort, work and engineering achievements for the future.

3 Our production Viadukt is one of the rare companies with its own quarry and concrete products factory which provides significant benefits as compared to other construction companies in the process of being awarded the projects and realization of works within the scheduled deadlines. Our equipment We have our own extensive and diverse construction equipment, which includes numerous machines of diverse application, motor vehicles for transport of passengers and cargo and special applications, and various plants for the asphalt production and paving, production of concrete, reinforced concrete, concrete elements and concrete gallantry. Our employees Our employees are responsible and proactive and they represent our most valuable resource in whose education and training we constantly invest with the purpose of attaining the highest standards in our business.

4 Roads Viadukt s business activity is based on the construction of traffic roads - roads, highways and interchanges and in that field the company is at the very top of construction companies in Croatia. Thousands of kilometres of roads in all parts of Croatia were built on different terrains, in urban and rural parts. Using various technological solutions and remediation of the most complex landslides.

5 Roads We execute works on the restoration as well, i.e. works on enhanced maintenance, repairs and road reconstruction with a special emphasis on thin surface treatments. For the execution of new asphalt and concrete pavement structures and highways we use modern mechanization.

6 Bridges and Viaducts We use a wide spectrum of different technologies in the construction of bridges, underpasses and overpasses and our long experience is a guarantee that optimal systems and methods will be used.

7 Bridges and Viaducts Our execution technologies include bridges built in the classic way with scaffolds, precast bridges, bridges built with free balanced cantilevering or segmentally pushed, arch and cable-stayed bridges and other. We build bridges over rivers, lakes and sea.

8 Tunnels In the construction of tunnels and underground structures Viadukt applies the most modern technological processes. Most often we build according to the New Austrian tunneling method, the most important characteristics of which are the implementation in different geological conditions, high cost-effectiveness by determining adequate lining support system measures, fast adaptation to the change in cross sections and relatively low investment costs. The most often used types of excavation are a combination of drilling and mining and mechanical excavation by tunnel excavators in weak rocks. We are specialized in underground and surface mining in urban areas which are at the most advanced technological level, owing to highly skilled engineers and expert and experienced workers.

9 Tunnels Application of the modern mechanization and construction materials enables the execution of tunnel and underground structures in the most complex geological and terrain conditions. For tunnel driving we use state of the art geodetic surveying equipment which increases precision and reduces the costs of excavation.

10 Building Construction We have been present in design and construction of buildings in the field of building construction in Croatia and abroad for a couple of decades.

11 Building Construction We execute the works in building construction as independent contractors or subcontractors in cooperation with big construction concerns. With a system of precast construction we build structures for different purposes: industrial plants, storage structures, exhibition pavillions, sports halls, business structures and big shopping malls.

12 City streets and squares There is a great number of streets and squares, pedestrian ways, cycle tracks and tram tracks that Viadukt has been building and rehabilitating in settlements, small towns and cities for decades. We execute works according to client s requirements and using the technique of paving with concrete and stone elements of various form and architectural solutions.

13 City streets and squares During the execution of works we pay special attention to finding balance between quality, functionality and aesthetic, making public space more agreeable and safer for everyday use.

14 Tram Tracks Viadukt has considerable experience in building infrastructure in the area of the execution of tram tracks as well and we executed the largest portion of works in the Zagreb area. Except for the construction, Viadukt actively participated in the development of the technology of tram track system of the City of Zagreb together with the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Zagreb, the leading civil engineering faculty in the region and ZET (Zagreb Electric Tram), a branch of Zagreb Holding which provides the service of transport in the city area.

15 Tram Tracks In the construction of tram tracks we use a fastening system Zagreb 21-CTT (Classic Tram Track), characterized by additional elasticity and total isolation of a steel anchor bolt whereby the contact with a steel tie-plate is avoided, and system Zagreb 21-STT (Slab Tram Track) the advantage of which is quick and simple construction of the track owing to precast bearing pads.

16 Airports Over the years Viadukt has gained considerable experience in building and remediation of runways, taxiways and aprons at airports in Croatia and in Europe. We are equipped with modern mechanization which enables us to execute different types of asphalt and concrete pavement structures efficiently and in a high quality in a short time period which is a basic condition for this type of works because of safety measures and limitations during the execution of works.

17 Airports On the biggest site in Croatia, the site of new passenger terminal of Zagreb International Airport, we have been engaged for an entire scope of infrastructure works, i.e. reconstruction of runway, construction of the new apron with access taxiways, construction of parking lot for personal and commercial vehicles with the purpose of connecting the old and the new passenger terminals, construction of watertight rainwater drainage system, construction of gas pipeline, heating pipeline, water supply network and waste water collector, construction of the main medium voltage connection and other infrastructure for the functioning of new passenger terminal. Other than being a designer and contractor, in this project we are also a concessionaire so we will be the only Croatian company which will manage the airport in the period of 30 years as a part of international consortium.

18 Maritime Works and Sea Ports Constant modernization in construction sector, as well as more and more complex Investor s and Client s requests encouraged us to specialize in other areas of construction business so we have completely mastered the field of execution of maritime works. We execute the works in sea ports, on breakwaters, wharves and operating shores, massive structures or lightweight structures according to contemporary project requirements and growing dimensions of ships. We build earth-filled buildings, reinforced concrete caissons and steel piles.

19 Maritime Works and Sea Ports For the execution of works we are equipped with a big offshore crane vessel with additional equipment for lifting and moving heavy cargo and with special tools, hydraulic hammers and vibrators for driving piles into the sea bed. For the execution of works in sea ports and different structures on the sea we use our own vessels with loading and unloading ramp on bow and stern and the possibility of two-way driving, for the transport of passengers and cargo in the area of national coastal navigation.

20 Special Works Special Works Project is an important business and organizational segment of our company. Professional staff and specialized equipment guarantee realization of most complex works at sea; such as marines, bridges, ports, jetties as well as other infrastructural maritime structures.

21 Special Works The equipment we use includes: floating crane Manitowoc 18000, designed for heavy load lifting and transport and for bridge pile driving into the sea bottom by means of special tools, hydraulic hammer and vibrator Ferry boat Žigljen, an effluent ferry boat with loading/unloading ramp at bow and stern enabling operation at both ends, intended for passenger and cargo transport in the area of the national coastal navigation.

22 Environmental Projects Water Management Projects Owing to long-lasting engagement in road construction Viadukt has gained considerable experience in building different types of structures related to rainwater and waste water drainage, such as sewage collectors, separators and lagoons. In the last years we have extended our business activity to the construction of water supply systems and construction of constructed wetland for the treatment of waste water.

23 Environmental Projects Waste Management The construction of the new and remediation of the existing landfills, i.e. centres for waste management are one more branch of construction activity in which Viadukt has taken part in in the last few years. Long-term experience of our employees and modern mechanization enable the execution of works while respecting the highest environmental standards.

24 Viadukt Konstrukcije Our subsidiary Viadukt Konstrukcije, whose experts design and make required documentation for preliminary, main and detail designs, has a significant role in our business processes. We offer services of design in the building construction where we, individually or in collaboration with an architectural designer, find optimal solutions for precast reinforced-concrete structures. Except for the services of design and making technical documentation for new structures, we make as-built drawings for the existing structures required for legalization.

25 Viadukt Konstrukcije We also make preliminary and main projects for setting up asphalt mixing plants, batching plants and supporting structures, as well as associate structures such as operational quays for bridge construction sites. We design geotechnical structures and make programs for geotechnical investigations and analyses of variant solutions in conformity with applicable Croatian legislation, European regulations for design of Eurokod 7 and supporting national addendums.

26 Viadukt Projekt Application of the most modern design solutions precedes high quality of the execution of works for which subsidiary Viadukt Projekt is responsible. Viadukt Projekt makes preliminary, main, detail and process designs for infrastructure such as bridges, viaducts and tunnels. In the design process we conform to the highest professional norms and meet all investor s requirements, putting the best quality-price ratio of works first.

27 Viadukt Projekt On our reference list there are large structures such as the biggest bridge in Croatia over the river Drava, the approach viaduct on the new passenger terminal at Zagreb International Airport, the viaduct near the port Gaženica and many others. In case of especially demanding projects we develop our own technological solutions, such as a mechanical device for guidance and precise positioning of steel piles during pile driving into the seabed, designed and developed for the works on a new gate in the port of Ploče.

28 Via-kontrol We pay a lot of attention to the quality of placed materials and works, which is concern of our subsidiary Via-kontrol, the laboratory of which is accredited in accordance with the system ISO Everyday care of quality of materials and works is taken in three departments for concrete, soil mechanics and asphalt, where with numerous accredited methods in conformity with standard HR EN ISO properties of different materials are tested, such as fresh concrete, hardened concrete, products and systems for the protection and repair of concrete structures, testing water impermeability of sewage systems, water pipes and drain pipes under pressure, drainage and water supply structures, aggregate testing, testing unbound mixtures and mixtures bound by hydraulic binder, foundation for the construction of traffic roads and asphalt and bitumen testing.

29 Via-kontrol Except for our sites, we carry out tests for other companies as well and our competitive advantages are quality, promptness and adjustability to different requirements and conditions.
