1 MARANOA CIVIL JV Capabilities Maranoa Civil JV provides high quality civil construction services to the oil, gas, mining and infrastructure sectors in Queensland. This Indigenous owned company combines the local knowledge of Traditional Owner company, Surat Basin Projects, with the major projects experience of leading major projects contractor Meales, and experienced civil construction company Stirling Earthworks. This mix of experience and capabilities delivers: High performance services that are underpinned by seasoned project management built over 2 decades in the oil, gas and mining sectors in Australian and near Asian markets. Knowledge of terrain and country to deliver best quality and fit for purpose civil construction outcomes. A full range of civil construction services including bulk and detailed earthworks, site establishment, site rehabilitation, roads and access ways, drill pads, pipelines, dams, water infrastructure, hardstands, site foundations, car parks, bridges and culverts, erosion control, flood repair and mitigation, civil construction for industrial, commercial and residential development. Cultural heritage services and technical advice on terrains and country in the Surat Basin. Traditional Owners bring a deep understanding of cultural heritage in the region and knowledge of terrains. Maranoa Civil JV has a core team of experienced staff and can expand its capacity through a network of reliable subcontractors that meets the company s high standards. Maranoa Civil JV provides the following services: Civil works for oil and gas projects including: - Camp accommodation bulk earthworks and detailed earthworks for services installation. - Paths, car parks and access roads for camp accommodation. - Drill pad preparation. - Drill site rehabilitation. 1

2 - Well site and facility fencing. - Site earthworks and foundations for gas compression stations, water processing plants, storage and industrial sites. - Erosion control and water way rehabilitation. - Pipeline civil works initial clearing, pipeline work and rehabilitation. - Dam and pond construction and rehabilitation. Road and access ways including: - Road repair and maintenance including flood repairs. - New access ways and haul roads. - Repair and maintenance of access ways and haul roads. - Access road construction and maintenance. - Flood repair work. - Culvert work. This includes works to control erosion and sediment run off to water ways. - Road site and water way rehabilitation. Infrastructure civil construction including: - Precision trenching for services installation water, electricity and telecommunications. - Earthworks for water and sewerage reticulation. - Earthworks for power reticulation and substations. - Civil works for power station establishment. - Precision excavation and earthworks around existing services. - Power line paths and access ways. This includes high performance project management systems, good communication and the ability to integrate seamlessly with tier 1 and lower tier contract teams on site. Working with local landowners and traditional owners Maranoa Civil JV has extensive networks and relationships with landowners, the community, Traditional Owner groups and the Indigenous community. The company also has strong relationships with local government and the business community in the Surat Basin. Skills development in civil construction. Maranoa Civil JV works with Registered Training Organisations to build the skills of its team - providing training and high quality skills development for its Indigenous and non Indigenous workforce. The JV can undertake individual contracts up to $10 million and can undertake larger contracts using its subcontractor network. The JV operates throughout the Surat Basin and has the capacity to work in the Bowen Basin using its network of contractor capabilities. Equipment and Resources Maranoa Civil JV a base in Chinchilla and an office in Brisbane. The company s equipment includes: 1 x 12t Compactor. 1 x D6 Dozer. 1 x 140H Grader. 3 x 4t 8t Excavators. 5 x 12t 30t Excavators. 1 x 3m3 Wheel Loader. 2 x Large Pozzi Track Loaders. 2 x 10,000Itr 18,000ltr Water Trucks. 1 x Quad Axle Float. 2 x Tag Trailers. 3 x Rollers from 3t 14t. Numerous Small Plant (Wacker Packers, Stump Grinders, Chainsaws etc.). 3

4 The JV can supplement its equipment fleet through equipment hire and through subcontracting. A proactive fleet management and maintenance plan ensures all equipment operates at optimal performance levels and high reliability levels. Maranoa Civil JV will undertake a program of equipment acquisition over the next 2 years. The JV employs a core team of 16 staff and can scale up to a team of 50 to meet increased workloads. Indigenous staff and non Indigenous staff are employed. Staff can be deployed from the Miles base to undertake projects throughout the Surat Basin. All staff have verified competencies to operate excavators, dozers, compactors, loaders, backhoes and other plant and machinery. The JV has a commitment to upskilling staff and multiskilling staff. Staff either have Certificate qualifications in civil construction or are receiving training. The JV has experienced and qualified staff and high staff retention. The JV has job management, estimating and accounting systems and software in place. These systems are supported by extensive expertise in civil construction job costing and job management.
