Eletril Components Before instlling, serviing, or lening unit, swith power off t servie pnel nd lok servie pnel to prevent power from eoming swithed on identlly. When the servie disonneting mens nnot e loked, seurely fsten prominent wrning devie suh s tg to the servie pnel. Re-Roofing Soltue produts require speil re if removed for re-roofing. In order to ensure proper removl nd re-instlltion, plese ontt your Soltue Interntionl representtive. 3 Dylighting Systems Instlltion Tips (Continued) Allow 1/2 hour (30 min) for the instlltion exluding ur frition, prtiulrly if this is your first instlltion. During the dy, turn off ll the lights in the room to see how muh nturl light omes in through the windows, nd determine the est position for the Soltue Dylighting System. To light speifi re, ple the system over the re, not in the enter of the room. This will prevent the desired re from eing shded y tll ojets in the room. Mesure the distne from ur to diffuser level. If you don t hve enough tuing, ontt your Soltue Interntionl representtive for dditionl tuing. Avoid roof lotions shded y trees, ridges nd himneys, or ner wter hnnels or vlleys. Also void roof res with ostrutions suh s fire sprinklers, HVAC equipment, gs, wter or drin pipes, ir duts or flues nd mke sure tht the roof is dequte to endure n instlltion without dmging its wterproofing properties or wekening the uilding struture. All dhesives nd sels re reommended to e pplied to len nd dry surfe t minimum of 70 F (21 C) for mximum performne. For instlltions where high levels of soot or deris my e present it my e neessry to use foil tpe to sel ll joints nd tue sems to prevent exess deris from entering the tuing. It is reommended to use foil tpe to sel ll joints nd tue sems for instlltions in old limtes or where humid onditions my e present in order to prevent wrm or moist ir from entering the tuing. 3

4 M74 DS Instlltion Instrutions 1 Ple Pre-Assemled Roof Assemly onto Cur Note: Cur provided y others. Note: To prevent srthes do not remove protetive liner from dome until instlltion is omplete. Cur y others (llow for ounter flsh roofing mteril) 35 5/8 in (904 mm) inside dimension 35 5/8 in (904 mm) inside dimension Roof opening must e round with dimeter 29.5 in (749 mm) Cur Constrution Detils: Cur provided y others. Cur OD: 34 3/8 in (873 mm) x 34 3/8in (873 mm) to llow for 0.5 in (13 mm) wterproofing memrne. Metl Cur OD: 35 in (890 mm) x 35 in (890 mm). If memrne lyer is to e pplied to outside of metl ur, use ur OD ove. Frming Memer Thikness: 1.5 in (38 mm) minimum 2.5 in (64 mm) mximum inluding insultion. Cur Height: 7.5 in (191 mm) minimum. Refer to lol uilding ode requirements. Cur Aspet: Level ur top nd plum ur wlls. For sloped roofs dd riket to divert wter. 2 Assemle Extension Tue Align pre-punhed holes nd instll rivets. Bend ts out 90 deg for proper elt lignment. Remove Protetive Liner Use rivet gun to fsten rivets. d 4

Bend ts over on Tue Belt to lok into ple. f 5

9 14 Fsten Amplifier Setions Align pre-punhed holes nd instll rivets. Align Amplifier setions to ensure flt setion overlps to sit on top of offset. Use Rivet gun to fsten rivets for eh Amplifier setion. 15 Apply Foil Tpe Apply foil tpe to over t nd opening. Apply pressure to foil tpe for proper onding. 9

12 1 Remove Bridle Assemly Remove ll 4 Bridle Assemlies Bridle ssemly Do not remove Bridles from se of flshing. CAUTION: Unssemled Bridle Assemlies re Trip Hzrd. Use Cution During This Step. 2 Remove Colletor from Flshing Remove olletor nd set side. 3 Ple Roof Assemly onto Cur CAUTION: Unssemled Bridle Assemlies re Trip Hzrd. Use Cution During This Step. 13 4 Re-Instll Colletor Crefully ple nd enter olletor over roof ssemly. 5 Adjust Colletor Position In the Northern Hemisphere position the Colletor so the refletive side of the Light Trker is fing due South (North in the Southern Hemisphere). 6 Fsten Cone Clmps Align Cone Clmps with dimples nd drill 2 holes into one se. Cone Clmp Insert 4 rivets nd fsten Cone Clmps using rivet gun. 13

14 7 Re-Atth Bridle Assemlies Crefully ple nd enter olletor over roof ssemly. 8 Fsten Roof Assemly to Cur Fsten 6 flshing srews per side. Align Dome Retiner Clips for Wire Rope Bridle tthment Flshing Srew Tighten until flush. Wire Rope Bridle Assemly 14
